I run rockwool. I hit them with imid during veg. I dont see amy problems after that. And i give them over 9 weeks to remkve the residuals. Ive tried organic methods and none of them worked for me.
I run a bunch of things but ive been simplifying my formula and its been working great. In dwc i keep the ec low. Like 1.0 most of the time and with 1.5 as a high point. H&g flakes for a base. Bud xl, roots excel, top booster and two advanced boosters, bud candy and nirvana. I run Moab as a hardener during week 7. In the flood and drain i run it hotter. Ill let my ec hit 2.0ish in the hottest weeks. But they only get hit once a day. I also like sm-90. Its labeled as a wetting agent but its also a bug preventative as well as a root stimulant. Im gonna run a side by side one day because im not sure if i love it or not. I love the smell hah
It encourages the use of bracts sugars toward fruit production. Im not sure how it compares to those other products. I just know i left out the bud xl one time(its expensive) and i was really saddened by the final product. Niwhere near as dense or flavorful. Bud xl will not leave my recipie.
I have had a bad experience with rockwool breaking down into mush from systems that don't drain....looks like you have no issues though that is some really really nice looking reefer your producing..
Breaking down into mush? I have never encountered this problem. Hwever my trays to drain completely if i want them to. But i run dwc also and thats always flooded. Ive top watered too. What type of rwool were you using??
Grodan blocks it was one of my first hydro setups. The grodan blocks sat in net pots of clay pellets that were then halfway submereged in aerated nute solution also top fed on a timer..bout 6 weeks into flower the rockwool had broken down and I could mush it apart with my hands...I remember reading somewhere afterwards that rockwool is not suitable to be constantly submerged in water. Just my experience and now i keep a close eye on my rockwool throughout a grow.
Just set up my constricted 2x4 full dwc tray again. It sucks having my shit so cramped but i have to use this light somehow.
And heres the flood and drain of cheese and amnesia at about week 5. I had to hit them with imid before flowering and i think it really pissed them off. This run looks burnt a bit. Could have been heat stress or deficiency but i gave them their normal feeding schedule so its odd. I think its the heat. Fuck this heat.
And heres the 3x3 flood and drain of fire og doing well. A few more weeks and theyre done.
.806 is respectable man.
Co2, the right strain, proper clone selection(make twice as many clones and pick the best), perfect temps & an even canopy focused on colas not lowers, you'll get it man.
Take diligent, honest notes to make the proper adjustments along the way. It's all about adding up all the little things.
Here's a good example: when I was dialing in blue dream, I was getting some tip burn but I knew I wasn't over feeding Phos. so one light I added cal/mag & the other light got straight magnesium(mag helps with phos intake). The one given cal/mag instantly got leaf curl(too much nitrogen) and the yield suffered- the one given pure Magnesium gave me a 1.24oz increase from the last round.
It's all about adding up the little things and making adjustments.
You align all those stars in DWC & you'll hit 3lb/1k.
Been running DWC for... A long time. I've ran soil, coco, aero, f&d, coco, etc. and with the new DWC system I designed... I'll never run anything else. If you ever wanna talk DWC or have questions, feel free to pm me.
I think the summers heat got to them a bit. A bit more immature/foxtaily look for this many days. Ill be taking the cheese at 63 but i'm gonna leave the amnesia a few days extra.
