Day 28
This plants are extremely thirsty. They drink and evaporate huge amounts of water and I must refill the reservoirs every other day.
Since I switched to flowering nutrients (Canna Aqua Flores A+B) the pH is extremely stable - 6.0 , no matter the water EC , which rise from 1.85mS (for fresh nutrient solution) up to 2.6mS (after two days without my intervention).
I noticed that the girls are more happy if I top the reservoirs with just plain water (adjusted to pH 5.8) , alternating with full strength nutrient solution. The EC is jumping between 1.85 and 2.60 but this seems to be very well tolerated by the girls, as they don't show any tip burns on their leaves.
The tallest top of Mazar shows some signs of heat stress because it's to tall now and very close to the LED panel and LED bar heatsinks (they are just warm to the touch - 40-43 degrees Celsius). One of the fan leaves from the upper part of this top have been literally burned by a 10W LED (it was my fault - I moved the stem and didn't notice that leaf and the following day it war dark brown and crumbling).
Both plants have already started to show some frostiness, but the AK47 is more impressive, with thricomes showing even on upper fan leaves.
It became very difficult to work with them (because the stems are 50-60cm long) and I decided to move the platforms just once a week ( to be able to take pictures of AK47) to prevent 'accidents'.
Should I defoliate more ? Last week I removed an entire plastic bag of fan leaves and under screen larf buds and grow tips and now the girls seems more bushy to me.
