Dutch Treat

dutch treat checks a lot of marks that i seek in a high but it just seems to kind of lack in that special something. The best attribute is how functional the high is but it also is kind of lacking in potency. its a good smoke for when you shouldnt be high type of occasion because its so functional. It doesnt really seem to cause paranioa, anxiety, red eyes, cotton mouth, couch lock, the munchies or spaceyness. And it has a very plesent citrus smell not a very pungent smell but it was tottally lacking any of the generic marijuana smell.

if i wanted to get like my grandma or someone to try weed or someone who says they cant smoke weed cuz they always freak out this strain is one of they few that come to mind for them to try,

even though i know im gonna build up a tolerance in the middle of the second bong hit im really excited about smelling it again. and tasting it, too. especially after i grow it. Its got a familiar aroma that translates thru taste...

San Jose. I'm not in Cali, but I still research prices and offerings. I'm kind of a geek when it comes to strain research.

Yes, please post up pics.

I currently have a low tolerance.

Hey bro the dutch(clone) is exactly what Greyskull describes. Mediocre, old style lemon, spices and hash taste/smell. Pretty much a lanky dutch haze/skunk or something.

To me Trainwreck, Lemon Diesel, are a very similar flavor, smell and growth, but the high is more exciting, more sativa in nature, more clear and the tastes are much stronger lemon to me. I recommend these over Dutch Treat anyday.

It's worth having a plant in the room one time, or for production...but people seem to get tired of it pretty quick.

I am gonna chime in. I live on the Big Island, the DT has been here for over 10 yrs as far as I know, cause I had that strain in 2002 here. I have grown out seeds and the clone that floats around. I no longer do so.
The reason being, its well, its just boring...Once you get something better, you will never grow it again. I can grow countless strains that yield well, smell nice and are easy to trim, DT being one of them, but why??? It's not like I can command any kind of market with DT...

Now, if someone gave me clones, I would just like Greyskull, grow da sh!t outa them. However they are not going in my mother room..EVER!!
Get yourself some alien gear, way better high and will probably outyield the DT. Hell grow yourself some Chems or a solid OG and enjoy a real high, not that boring Dutch skunk blandness,lol..
Good luck with whateva you choose Robert :)

tell u 1 thing, like many of todays watered down genetics, the real Dutch Treat from 20 yrs ago, blew the doors off the modern version ! the lemon pheno is nice, but molds bad outdoors in BC, but the black currant pheno is a bulletproof beast ! buds in a dense V shape, indoors is more potent, but outdoors a larger plant ;)
