This strain is really supposed to be nice based on the reviews that I have read.

It has a nice strong up high and great bag appeal in like 49 days.

Anyone on here growing this one?

What are your impressions?

Thanks!

The pics I just saw were at 49 days and ready to go. I think that the guy let it go another 5 to 7 days.

hey i have grown alot of the treat! but only outdoors.. theres about 3 phenotypes.. the most common being a ghani looking x mas tree about 4 to 5 ft tall.. that has an astringant citrus smell and taste.. it is the dominant pheno in the line.. the other two get bigger and look little more sativa and have some purpling.. and get done later.. but still has the orange citrus smell and taste.. here some pics.. sorry im not a very good photographer. .

it's pretty popular in the pacific northwest, specifically bellingham..i think it's just ok, good for production but nothing outstanding compared to elites, etc

Not sure about elite cuts. I've been researching a lot, and most of the stuff discussed around here is not even being sold in the med states.

It really was quite an eye-opener to be honest.

It's all bullshit.

I'm seeking a great high that smells nice and looks nice.

Like sativa 92, ive grown it several times outdoors here at 38n. Its a nice plant with a few pheno's but generally, a christmas tree.

If you pop 10 seeds of treat,(or Brenda's skunk Xnl is another dandy), some of the plants will auto and some of the p lants will just finish early. For example, i would have one harvest of some of the plants in july after planting in may, while the rest would be harvested in late august, early sept and are a bit larger and produce a bit more.

The auto pheno's cant be cloned but the early flowerers can and a mother can be kept but a word of caution, next spring those clones are ready to trigger into flower if a mouse farts in the house. touchy.

That pheno is also good for breeding to bring down flower times.

P.S. Her high is nice. Balanced, clear, social, and her potency i would describe as "average". 2 seasoned smokers can sit down with a small joint and both get a nice buzz with a roach left.

Theres a cut of dutch treat floating aorund maui/oahu/bigisland.
sounds alot like the main pheno found from what sativa92 is describing.

its a totally commercial plant
it does clone quick, it does grow quick, its ripe in 8-9 weeks (49 is stupid no!!!!), easy trim job, nice "good pot" smell, even tastes pretty good and the high is good.

at first.

i found it similiar to the greencrack/cush in that it does everything you woould normally want in a plant but it just doesnt have enough substance all together to want to repeat growing it for personal satisfaction. for me.

but im spoiled and very picky about what stays and what goes in my garden.

good luck

Thanks guys for the help.

Yeah, there is a cut somewhere in Hawaii. Nuggetry has a nice review of it.

Also, this goes by Dutch Crunch: Elemental Wellness is selling it for $420 per ounce 20 + THC if you believe the tests.

yeah the dude on nuggetrys is exactly what i have grown & smoked & passed on.
i dont know about the review being "correct" as we all have different tastes, bt thats whats it.theres a partner of the biggest hydro shop in the islands and the treat is all he runs in his grow shows. thats a big reason why its all over.

maybe you;ll love it though depends on whats around you and your tatses, try it you might like it and want it forever.
goood luck

I've not grown it but I'd like to try. Berkeley PCC had fire dutch crunch the last few times
I visited. I love it for a heady sativa daytime smoke. somebody in the Bay area has a killer pheno of this as I have found it at a couple other spots...

this is way up at the top of my list of favorite strains I've had. good luck, I hope you find it!

I think that East Island Seeds is out of business. They do not return emails.

Dutch Treat is out of stock in most places.

I heard that Jordan produced this as well. But, he does not return emails.

Good luck.

Definitely not 49 days, as DIDM and sativa92 posted; Dutch Treat was one of the strains I did my first... my pheno was a lot like what sativa92 described, it was lanky and had a purpling stalk and some mixed light purple but mainly mixed hues of green on the flowers..
The taste was extremely tangy and pungent of citrusesque flavors but it was unique in a thick lingering creamy way, wow.. very nice sativa dom high with a mellow body that carries with the high thats surprisingly long lasting.

I wasn't impressed with the flowering time and yield, but the taste and high is fantastic!

One I would definitely trade for/buy from a farmer as personal and or get again once I have my own facility done, which will have a separate room for tropical strains that prefer the longer hours and such.. though this dutch treat was acclimated pretty well (NW), got it from Cannabis Care Foundation in Belfair, WA; great place and swell guys.

not that it matters if you cant find seeds or its not accessable to you
but if its cool Robert Fortune I'll post up some pics and stuff along the way...

the fucking stupid DT clone, well, a couple of them, found their way into my garden hahaha

i saw one deep into flower the other day i was like mannnnnnn..... thats the catalyst for it returning. i am not keeping a mom of it nor will i take/root clones of it. but i will grow the fuck out of it if it here.

other people like it i wont have to smoke it too much if i dont want to... so its kind of a win win. i say win win because... to reiterate the qualities

as a grower, i like growing plants that are easy and fast and are resinous and smell good and are easy trim. and it yeilds nicely, too. and i know i wont be sitting on it.

the people i take care of, they get to have the pot they like to smoke grown to full potential.

let me know and ill start snapping pics of it. nothing special yet just in solo cups....

If you're looking for seeds, check out the Depot. It's in stock there.
Don't know anything about the status of East Island itself, though.

Thanks everyone for your help!

Yes, Greyskull, please post up any pics that you may have.

My interest in this is due to all of the positive smoke reports I have read; besides Canada really interests me right now, not sure why.

I'm big into finding greatness in value. I'm not a sucker for trends and cute names.
