Will have to see if I can find some extra seed money after I get my camera to document my OD grows. Might shoot for the late 2011 drop of these, hope I don't miss out then. Thanks for the heads up :). Take care 1

Hey there Dubi, I have a question for you about the Malawi. Currently I have 4 in veg, going strong it seems. I topped them a week ago and they're already pushing out nice healthy tips. Eventually these ladies will be cloned and then the clones flowered. Now for my question, what does this plant like during flower as far as nutrients/fertilizers go?

I want to go completely organic with these ladies, but I'm not sure what I should be looking for. Would you be able to provide(or at least steer me in the right direction) on what type of soil mix to use?

If anyone else knows feel free to let me know!

Thanks

Healthy lookin sprouts you have there jaded1!

Those look EXACTLY like my plants just one month younger. It looks like the bottom plant in that picture is going to be the strong one of the bunch, but it's hard to tell yet.

Hopefully we can get someone who's flowered this before to chime in and let us know what she likes.

High all

Pure Malawi handles perfectly strong fertilizer doses, but start to feed them after 20 days of life cos they are a bit sensitive as a seedlings. Anyway malawi landrace line accepts higher levels of nutrients than other sativa landraces or hybrids like thais, haze ...

Seedboutique has just received 20 more malawi fem packs. Enjoy!

Thanks I kinda figured they needed a bit more on the nutrients because I got some soil that has no additives in it and my other plants grew fine. These turned a light green until I gave them some top dressed organic fert I bought a while back. Now they're lookin healthy and normal again.

Thanks for letting us know Dubi! Take 'er easy :)

Picked up some RSC mekong ganja and have been searching for some malawi to grow with it and to hopefully make some babies with.

Afropips seems to have vanished and I ended up picking up some golden tiger in the hope of finding a malawi orientated male or female for breeding. When I got the GT I also got free Vietnam Nah Trang X thai seeds!

Then I saw Ace's feminised Malawi were available so I have picked up a pack of them to( would have preferred regular but I gather they will come eventually:))

Also hope to be growing some cuttings from my outdoor nanda devis indoors to if things go ok outside and add them to the breeding mix.

I have never grown a full sativa and as far as I am aware(and I think I would have noticed) I have never smoked a pure sativa either.

So an embarrassment of riches to grow,

Cheers ACE:tiphat:

Hey Hoots, Ive actually got 10 Afropips MG in the seedling stage right now. I wish you could have picked some up, but as you said its pretty much impossible to get his now.

I hope you'll have great results with Ace's MG. I too would prefer regular seeds, but Dubi isn't gonna leave us out in the cold :). Thanks Dubi.

jaded1,

Malawi fem seedlings may grow with bigger fatter leaves at the beggining but will show the branchy sativa structure later. They look very healthy, please keep us updated! Good luck!

These are a couple pics of the Malawi I got goin right now.

The second one seems like it's overwatered? It's the fastest growing of the plants I have going right now. However, it seems to droop whether the soil is bone dry or very moist. I was wondering if anyone who's grown this has any advice?

The first picture is right after watering, and the second is a picture of the strongest lady after a couple hours.
