DRYING YOUR (LARGE) OUTDOOR HARVEST

I like field trimming, large quantities it's not possible, and now I do this- Quick field trim down to the nugs to break all the branches down, triple garbage bag it, and then pack it in coolers with ice. Back home fill the coolers and fridge so it stays fresh to trim. Trim it all down, off the branch and all, on to screens. Carbon scrubber in the room doubles as circulation fan, and a dehuy is MANDATORY as well as promptly putting trim in the freezer- you keep that trim on the ground for more time then needed it adds to the humidity in the room too much. To much time in the coolers PACKED TO TIGHT and shlt will go mushy and/or you will loose your smell.

In the past I have set up a campsite in the area of my grows; a tent, air mattres, sleeping bag, portable gas stove, stockpile of food and water.
Then I harvested about five plants a day, or maybe three, and took them to my campsite and sat cross legged on the ground and trimmed them there.
I used to get these plastic bread trays you can get from the back of supermarkets or McDonalds stores, put a layer of newspaper in the bottom to stop the buds falling through, and put the trimmed buds in those.
In the morning I would put the trays outside, in the shade, to let them dry, and then at night put the trays in the tent, you can stack those trays one upon the other so they don't take up too much room.
As the buds dried I would put them in garbage bags, and then when they were all dry then take them back to civilsiation.
Better to be caught with 5 kilos of dried buds rather than 100 kilos of wet, and this way you only need to make one trip with product, rather than a number of trips, lessens your exposure.
Camping out also lets you monitor your spots for rippers at this crucial time when they are most likely to get ripped.
Reminds me of the time when I was just starting out, and at that time I used to grow in a forest on the edge of town, and catch the train there and back.
Anyway one evening I was sitting in the train with a backpack of freshly harvested branches wrapped up in a few garbage bags.
But you could still smell them strongly. But there were only a couple of people in the carriage so I didn't worry too much.
Anyway two leo's got on the train and started walking through the carriage.
One of them started sniffing the air and looking around, and then said to the other one, "that's the best thing we've smelt all day"!
Can you send me a pm or contact me.
I am planning the exact same thing you have done,
In southern europe it is

Hope to hear from you
