dryer flange

where do i get a dryer flange that i could use to hook my exhaust system with some dryer ducting. I would think homedepot & lowes. How much are these flanges, from looking online on the homedepot&lowes i see they are $15.00.

I got one that hooks onto my 4" ducting and it goes thru the outside wall and then to the covered rain flap....all for about $5 at my local Ace hardware.......such a deal!

ill check out acehardware 5 bucks not bad, beats 15 bucks.

digitalhippy, no im not discharging outside, im trying to use a flange to connect to my box and the dryer hose to connect to it and on the other end connects to a homemade carbon filters (from our DIY thread) so i guess the air will be recycled in the same room.

real funny you should mention this cause i was in homedepot the other day and my DIY senses started to tingle. i went to the airducting par tof home depot and yes the flanges were $15 bucks or better! i thought that, that was really rediculous for a flange.

i remembered the flange for my dryer outtake onteh outside of the house is plastic. i go to the washer/dryer/home appliance sect. of homedepot and low and behold the plastic flanges are 9$ bucks!! and the ducting from it is nice and long about 14" so i have more than enough to cut, put a pit clamp on it and have some ducting to use elsewhere in the cab!!

thats what ive learned doing DIY, always look for an alternative. as long as you seek, you shall find!!
