the only way it's going to mold is if you leave it in there for like 24 hours(and never breathe it). it only takes about 4-8 hours to retain moisture. if your friends molded in less than 24 hours, it's because he put a really juicy piece of fruit in there.

you only want small pieces of peel which doesn't have a lot of moisture in the first place.

I always dry my buds. I like em dry though cos there easier to crumble and my pollen catcher thing inside my wooden stash box cellects all the pollen. I roll my joints over the box and the pollen that misses fall in the box and so on. When the box is empty finished, I just collect the pollen and its always enough for 1-2 joints of pollen/pollem.

I like my buds dry now, and cured in wood, kinda thing.
