yeah my well water is pretty alkaline like I have stated before...gotta keep my eye on it though cuz it fluctuates from grow to grow and year to year...case in point to get the ph in good range last indoor grow I needed 100ml in 55 gal. to get it down around 5.8...this grow it's more like 80ml

My new grow is on a well. Gonna def be an adjustment since I’ve only been growing with really clean unfiltered tap water that comes out at 7.3 pH and 0.1 ec. My well comes out at 1.1 ec. The ro filter brings it down to 0.05ec tho.

1.1ec is pretty high but I have heard well water can be even higher. Whats your PPM reading? Either way .05 is pretty low and you will probably just have to adjust your PH more often. I have hard water that is 400ppm on 700 scale and but ph is insane like 9.3+. RO takes it down to 23ppm but Ph is still 9.0.

I also have a bit of colloidal clay in my well…my whole house water filter takes out a lot of it…but I have to change the filter like every couple of months to stay on top of it…when replacing the filter it gets a really dark gray color…I haven’t checked the ph and ec before the filter…might have to do that some time to get an idea how much that filter helps…when filling me rez’s I’ll run the water in pretty slowly just to try and keep the water as clear as possible

So today is week 8… all varieties seem to be fattening up well…for the first time in a bunch of indoor grows I have no problems with PM or bugs… I think it has a lot to do with faithfully using lost coast plant therapy every week and not when I start seeing PM or bugs…I did use LCPT up until week 2 of flower…real happy with how my girls look…gonna get in there today with an eye loupe to see how close some of the earlier varieties are…Blueberry Muffin is supposed to be one of those…she could even be finished right now…I’ll get some pics up soon as well

I was wondering about this with your grow style. With different varieties come different finish times and the Blueberry Muffin is supposed to be a quick flower so I am guessing you don't flush? Just curious, makes no difference to me. I actually just placed a study about the results of not flushing in Stars thread, I'll link it here if you have any interest in it.

I am in the midst of plain ph'ed auto watering as we speak...I did read your link...I'm sorta goin by old school stuff...with 17 varieties is almost impossible to get % flush on all plants...most will get 2 weeks...some like BM might get shy of one week...all trichomes inspected today and I can definitely say nothing is absolutely ready yet imo...BM is real close though

Hmmm that Blueberry Muffin looks a lot different than DJ's Blueberry. Maybe there really isn't any in it. I just figured there had to be some in the lineage.

That’s because it’s got Purple Panty Dropper in it along with the classic Blueberry…Chunky passed this cut along to me and I don’t doubt the origins of this cut

On the 700 scale…my well comes out at 760ppm and comes out ro at 30ppm. Well pH is 7.1 and ro is 6.3

I’m sure with a well, those numbers will change thru out the year. I’ve looked into getting city/tap water where I’m at, and I can, but gotta fork out more money. Plus another utility bill. So I’m gonna ride it out and hopefully make due with the well.

Only thing that worries me is the water still smells a little like sulfur/rotten eggs even after the ro. But the clones I brought over from my other spot are already rooting and looking good. So if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

Yeah VP I forgot to mention my water has sulfur gas in it as well…I get air bubbles when I run tap water into a glass and really smell the sulfur…but once the air bubbles dissapate so does most of the sulfur smell… I do have a 7-stage ro system in the kitchen which also runs into my fridge (not into my grow though)…once water is filtered through ro the smell is pretty much gone…my water does fluctuate from one year to the next…out of the tap last year it had a ph of 8.6 and this year it’s 8.2…still rather alkaline…when filling my rez’s last year it took 100ml to bring the ph down to 5.8 this year it takes 80ml…I don’t think you’ll have a problem getting used to sulfur in yer water…I have adapted to it over the years and my weed comes out just fine…I think this particular grow I have quite a bit more frost on my girls…hopefully that will transfer into some quality smoke

I don’t think she liked me cutting her back before being put in the grow…I had do that to all my plants in this grow…wasn’t even gonna do a grow when I saw how unruly the plants were…but I said what the hell what else am I gonna do this winter…I will definitely give BM another run sometime with a more natural start…once she’s harvested I will give her a taste test along with other 16 and report back…oh yeah Blue Dream does look awesome…always enjoy the buzz from her!!!

that's a seed selection from Hells Angels in Mass, they take it at 45 days...

looking forward to stick my nose in yur buds monday but plan on catching 90 proof later tonight at Cedarwood...

I use to get a sulphur smell from my hot water and had the water tested. I took the report to the public health people and they explained the results to me. The sulphur smell was coming from iron bacteria in my water and the hot water tank was the worst.
