Sounds like the simplest of hussles....

That's about the best way to describe our whole situation IMO. It's a simple street hustle, but on a macro economic level. Take the rigged stock market for example. It's a global elitist mafia doing the street hustle to make a big dime on a global macro level. Create a bubble, burst it, and don't forget to short it on the way down while Main Street gets destroyed.

We tend to believe that the streets and the halls of government are different. As if the people in government have some higher standard than the thugs on the street. IMO, the micro always explains the macro as Stephen Hawkings likes to point out. As much as we all want to believe in American Expectionalism I fail to see it passing the litmus test of morality at the moment. It's not how we want it to be, but it sure does follow the logical economic incentive of criminals IMO.

The CIA and our leaders are no different from the dudes running the gangs in the country. It's all about getting your hustle on. Except these dudes do it with degrees from Harvard and Yale so that makes everything OK. We criminalize pot smokers and destroy their lives and deny them college, but then we let the "White Shoe Boys" wreck our country. We call loan sharks "bankers" and bookies "stock brokers". It's a thin veil of semantics that's sold to us on TV and mainstream News print.
