Ok well the local hydro store is not open on mondays. They've still got the same droop so im going to get some Ocean forest as well as some 5 gallon buckets tomorrow.
Hey everyone! Ok, so today I went to the hydro store and bought (1) 5 gallon bucket. I'm going to put on in there because they didnt have 12, and see if it makes a difference by Thursday (when they will have more 5 gallon pots)
Heres the deal. This morning I switched them to 12/12 because they seemed to get worst EVERY long day. They didnt seem to like the 18/6 schedule. They would perk up breifly when lights came on then get droopy again. This morning at 7 am when I turned the lights off for 12 hours they looked like DEATH.
I left them alone and came into the room 30 minutes ago right when the lights were sparking up. Everything is dark green still and looks great. There is a slight droop but they look literally 5x better then they did when I left.
I came them some fresh H20, im going to go to the gym and see how they look when I get home..
This open sesame stuff (which is VERY hot) might have been trying to trigger the flowering just as Fox Farm advertises...
We're going to get to the bottom of this real soon.
Hey guys I figured I wouldn't leave any of you hanging.
I ended up not transplanting. I ended up flipping to 12/12 at there worst stage in life. Like I mentioned, I gave them bloom nutes before the flip as directed on the FF Feeding schedule. I dont think they were liking them and i think all they wanted was a little extra sleep.
surprised nobody asked what volume of water goes into those pots every how often... i agree with what everyone has said pretty much, ie a transplant after so long in those pots, checking your roots, etc.
The thing is, it's fine to say "i watered, went out for the night, and came home to droopy plants" but, for my garden at least, if I only give them enough water for 4 hours, it will only last 4 hours....so, how much did you give each plant? if it was indeed enough, you definitely need to transplant. If it wasn't enough, well, there's your issue
In my room, in 1.5 gal pots of peat/perlite, if the pots are as dry as yours look they would need at least 500ml of water to make it through 12 hrs of lights on. 1L and I'm good for 2 cycles. Your pots are twice the size though, and are FULL of roots that each suck moisture
