Not trying to argue about what`s worked for you S&E , only what folks have told me about still incurring cal/mag deficiency issues with purple petiole`s , woody stems , and stalled growth from recommended dosage until upped ta 1 ml per gal......

Can we get past this ?....I mean......if it`s 1 ml compared to .4 from the manufacturer that dials it in , then what`s the deal......

Peace...DHF......:ying:.....

Not arguing bro, just curious as to what symptoms they had. I agree 1 ml not much, hell I might even try it....honestly, I have always thought .4ml is not very much liquid per gal, but it does help.

Dripclean @ 1 ml per gal has been proven to have "ionic properties" that latch onto residual salts during the feed process and leach em outta the coco without a buncha runoff in a DTW setup......but......

There`ll ALWAYS be X amount of runoff in DTW with a pump and timer involved , but it can be dialed down enough to where it`s minimal instead of the 15-20% runoff I usedta roll with back before Dripclean was available or known about.........

This thread`s old and I meant to come back and say that the recommended doseage from H&G @ .4 ml per gal was/is based on keeping dripper setups from clogging up and killin plants from stopped up drippers......but .....

The additional .6 addition has been well documented as being enough to attack and leach out residual salt buildup in coco due to most folks overfeeding , and that`s why I preach it cuz......

MOST folks overfeed......Mr D runs his juice at the same level as Heath Robinson and never over 1.2 EC/600 ppm`s @ .5 conversion and swears by dripclean bein unnecessary with lower ppm`s across the board with little to no runoff , so proof in the pudding is.....

Less is more....guaranteed....Never ran more than 1.5 EC/750 ppms for many many yrs with dialed results.....For all else that think more`s more ?......

Dripclean @ 1 ml per gal fer your coco bitches for added insurance from lockouts and imbalances......bet on it.....Good luck and.....

Peace....DHF......:ying:......

their essentially selling you salts

and then selling you a product to remove those salts

hmmm.......

I never saw a bit of difference when I used DC, although I don't feed crazy high EC/ppm

Well i use it so that i dont have to have runoff to flush out the salts...i just water as much so a lil runoff runs out into the saucer and then is soaked up by the plants later on when things dry out a bit.
Learned this from Krunchbubble. thanks bro.
