Draining Bubble Bags

you know Keefhead, the 25 is no real loss, lol. i mean, i don't think i even smoked any 25 yet since i've been making bubble lol. except a toke or two to confirm its infiriority, lol. i don't know how it is with dry stuff but with my fresh frozen trim i find the 25 is nothing special, it might be a bit better then the 160, but it's basically all stalks. so it's no great loss to leave it out. you could cook with it though.

that winch setup looks awsome ilife, pity the bags will tear at the seams. i have often been surprised at the stregnth of the 20 gallon bags i have. i mean when they are full, you need a second person to lift the 45 and the 25 and the whole weight is on those seams. but up till now they have held great. but i suppose with a winch you are more likely to go faster and have the whole weight on the bags.

Yeah your bags will definitly tear over time doing that. As two hundred plus pounds of water on that amount of material and screen is asking for a tear. I prefer the trichomefarmer techinique of simply putting a tap into the bottom of the buckets. I can get my twenty gallon bags, down to a gallon or two of water with this method.
here are some pics just in case it helps.
Keep in mind two hundred pounds of water, is alottttt of weight.
THis method allows the water to gently flow down either into your drain, outside, or back into another bucket to be pumped into another set of bags, for yet another run. sometimes using extremly cold water will help maintain your ice.
anyway here are the shots i took, they are from my buddy's fifty light show, so the trim is all INDOOR. It took us about three days to run it all with 3 sets of twenty gallons, but we were realy just having fun more than we were working hard.

ps, the strains are Krush, skunk 100, hindu kush, champagne, and a pure sativa he calls 16. The herb is all organicly grown, and sells to the BC compassion club here in vancouver exclusively.

Hey gausmaruis, the bong is in the second to last picture balancing on top> its real skinny, but if you look closely to the shot where my friend is hiding in the picture, you can see he's holding it up.
I will try and do a thread on this entire bubble run in the near future.

A single tap in the bottom of the bucket, works fine. i have done it with twenty gallons on a few occasions. As for the 45u and 25u bags. if you are dealing with five gallon bags, you should be able to lift it out gently and give it a slight jerk upwards, this lifts the resin off the bottom of the screen and alllows for water to flow thru very quickly. I did a video on pottv that i show this method,, it shows how you can easily drain a 45u and a 25u, in under 10 seconds each>

when i try watching the video it tells me it has a corrupt file or my realplayer can't read it. but how do you empty a 45u and a 25u in under 10 seconds each? i'd like to know since i'm gonna do a run on friday.

all i have to do is pull the bag out and jerk it upward a few times and the water runs out that fast?

so as not to stress your bag seams too much, you should first lift the bag a little bit still under water. then make it sink a bit and quickly rise it up a bit further still in the water. every time you lower it a little less than you lifted it before. every time you lower the bag the bubble on the screen will get lifted up and allow the water to drain better. once you actually lift the bag out of the water, the bag should not be more then half full, at this point it becomes easier. you cinch the bag shut and jerk it up and down letting the water flow as best as it can. again the idea is to lift the bubble from the screen to allow the water to escape.

Hey bubbleman, i just saw the bong a few seconds before i read your post lol. i should have known better hehe.

peace out

Lift the bag out of the water and give a quick up and down jerk. The heads rise off the screen allowing the water to pass.

Hey keefhead, just wanted to let you know, that i have called my manufacturer and we will be adding the straps to the 45u and the 25u bag. You made alot of sense with your post, and i think there are many others out there like you that could use these straps.
So watch for them soon. They will only be on the last two bags, as i don't find their to be a problem draining the others, how about yourself?

HEY thanks for the good words time2unite. I believe in selling a quality product and if the customer is requesting something that makes sense, then it will happen.
Keefhead for putting it into context for a way that made me see the light, the first 45u and 25u with strap set up is YOURS. GIVE THANKS

I am deeply honored. Thank You.

That picture - its awesome - special technique or just plain awesome genetics? Looks like it's been heated a bit to show how well it melts. I should do so well some day......

Adding more screen sizes

Adding more screen sizes

Another Thing you can do to help the screens flow faster is to add more screen size choices. This will help reduce the amount of tricomes in each bag, but adding more qaulities. alow for a more open screen.

H2O BAGS offered a 7 bag water extraction set with differnt micron sizes then bubble bags alowing you to add more bags to your normal 7 bag set. Such as a 66 micron bag. This is also a very nice quality water extraction instead of just the normal 45. Using the 66 micron bag really helps the 45 bag flow faster. There is also a 38 micron bag that you can put above the 25 bag to help this also.

There is a new company called Aqua LAB Technologies developing in Europe which will alow you to add the micron size of your choice from a very nice selected list of micron sizes. Alowing for everybody to make there own stlye of water extractions.

Yeah the 60 plus micron size has interested me for a few years, but as of yet we have not added. I see a day where bubblebags offers single bags, in each of our one , five and twenty gallon size. NOt sure how many more we will add, but i like the idea of adding more and more bags as time goes on.

The first, middle, and last pictures made my teeth itch. But all look good enough to smoke... LOL ...

But I gotta ask, what is that first one. Looks like melted bubble?

Here is a Photo of 14 different types of Micron screens sizes:

This is a Photo of the Extraction after it was passed through the Green Collection Screens (GCS). coined here!!

This is the photo of the 104 micron size tricomes after being passed through 2/220mic 2/190 mic 3/160 mic and 1/120mic screen.

And this is a photo of the 66 micron screen after being passed through the above screens and a 73 mic screen.

And last here is the 45 mic screen after being filtered through all the above micron screen sizes:

to me the top pic looks like someone used the pressing screen with a towel on the outside to press the bubble dry. this can end up making those paddies of bubble. or maybe it was put through the laminator?

those are some superb pic bubbleman. i specially like the look of this, do you happen to know what strain it was made from? were buds used or was it a trim and budlet run? it's almost transparent. incredible ... hope you don't mind me blowing it up, it's the next best thing as i can't be hitting it up lol.

the following pic was posted up originally by bubbleman
