Drainage issues? (Perhaps)

Hello,

Didn’t know where to really put this thread but it’s probably a newbie question so fits in here

3 out of 8 of my girls are retaining water. I have checked the drainage holes and completely fine but where as 5 of the girls gobble down feed daily, those 3 I end up leaving 2-3 days?

The run off is very low, they seem to be retaining but not consuming. This problem has only arrived in the past 5 days or so.

One thing I've done many times is a use utility knife and make a very small cut along the side of
the pot near the bottom. It will reduce waterlogging and give your roots a little more oxygen.

If you using hard pots extra drainage can help for sure. Some plants also just don't drink as much as others. I remember running 3 strains at once and it felt like they all needed water at different times, they'd dry out differently even if I forgot a day or three and ended up watering them all at the same time. I'm betting those are all 8 same strain and sexed seeds though, so prob won't be any males, but that would be interesting if they drank more/less based on development needs.

Hey AP

All zkittlez and all females.

I fed yesterday again (600ml approx) as pots still heavy.

Today, all dry apart from the 3 heavy girls. Just not as hungry?

Gonna move them slightly, check drainage holes and maybe add a couple. That said, the run off is minimal, they just seem to be holding on to it.

Like you said... maybe just not hungry?

I would keep an eye on them for root issues, but I honestly dunno since they are all the same strain & sex. Good luck and keep us posted if anything changes.
