DR60 400W SCROG - Big Bang and The Church

I figured I'd pop in and see how your grow is going. Coming along beautifully, would you recommend growing that strain in early grow skill levels? Is it a sensitive plant to watering times, difficulty to keep happy. Etc.

Hey man welcome to the thread :)

Its actually a very easy plant to grow! Big Bang can take a lot of nutes and will turn into a big and beautiful plant without much work.

So i highly recommend it for beginners!

As i said, it drink A LOT of nutes, and is not sensitive about watering.

Take care!

Looking good around here.
Some new shots would be a treat ;)

Thanks man and welcome :)

Im at work now (should be working :/ ) but will post pictures when i get home to night! If i get home to night that is, got a whole lot of work to do!

Ive had some thought and i would like some input on this. Its about my watering timings.

When the plant was about 3-4 weeks into growth i started watering the plant every day with about 1 liter but i got worried the soil was getting to wet so i started to water it with about 1.5liters every 3rd day.

But it seemed like it was growing a lot slower when watering every 3rd day. I watered it yesterday and when i looked this morning it have grown more over night then the last 2-3 days.

So.. should i continue water every day? Maybe water every day with only 0.5liters or something...

I guess this is hard to answer its more like a trail and error thing.

Anyway, back to work!!

Take care guys!

I usually water them until i have a little drip off and then i wait for the pot to dry off befr i water them again. This said the better results i´ve seen were with flood and drain systems that watered every two hours :)

Loki your pics are really nice mate. I need a better camera myself

Looking good still, remember not to flip it later than about 2/3's full as it will become tough to manage

Thanks for the answer, that was my plan.. But it seems that the goddamn soil don't wanna dry off!!

I will probably start watering this plant a lot more cus everytime i actually water it i can see it grow a lot!!

Does anyone have any problems with watering too much? I just dont wanna fuck this up!

I know its all about the strain etc.. takes some time to get two know her but i think im pretty sure i know this one.. After all its my fourth time growing Big Bang. Im not even sure why im growing this plant, i could grow sweet tooth or any other epic plant. But you know what they say, love at first sight!

Next run im actually thinking of doing an Autopot run, Im also thinking of adding some drippers to the autopot system to get some water running from top to bottom, instead of only watering from the bottom.
Anyone got any theories on this?

Hey man where you been?! My camera is not the best, its a.. shit i actually gotta find it and check (im pretty fucking wasted right now)..

Its a Nikon Coolpix 8000! Its has some crazy good macro actually! Cost me about 290$, its not the best but it gets the job done.

I just sold an incredible amount of autopots so im probably going to by a new camera soon :)

Thanks for the advise mate. I flipped it when the screen was about 50% full. I can clearly see that its stretching more now when i got the hps going.

I were going to update this thread with some nice pictures.. But you know what..

Most of my leafs are getting this, guess its nutrient burn or just the heat. A 400w is pretty much in that tent.. Anyway its nothing to worry about as long as its not getting worse.

Take care people!

If that's all their doing then don't sweat it. They are just letting you know that their line is gonna get crossed before too long if you keep it up.

Ive been feeding them a lot of nutes so i was kinda waiting on some kind of burn, still incredible how much nutes this plant can take!

Gonna take it a bit easy on the fishmix, smells like shit!! :p

Hey man :)

Thank you! Yes this baby loves my tent! And yes its one plant.
You should definitely try scrog! Its a really great technique, the net acts as a great tool for training the plant. With the right training you get the perfect light distribution, ideal for grows with less plants.

Take care!
