Hello ICMag!

I'm Dr. Toboggan, and I'm coming at you with a living soil grow in a 3 ft x 2 ft AC Infinity CLOUDLAB 632D tent using passive intake, 2x 4 in. AC Infinity intakes and scrubbers (flowering area has a smart controller, veg. doesn't), 2x 4 in. AC Infinity CLOUDRAY S6 oscillating clip fans, an AC Infinity IONGRID T22 130 watt light for flowering, and a HLG 65 V2 for vegging.

What am I growing in, you ask? Espoma Organic Seed Starter Premium Potting Soil Mix for clones and seeds, and BuildASoil Potting Soil Version 3.0 for mature plants. I'll be amending primarily with Dr. Earth Organic 5 Tomato, Vegetable & Herb Fertilizer as I get into flower and maybe some liquid stuff and/or teas to fill in more immediate needs. Trying to KISS.

I found some fabric pots that are on the taller side to help make up for my lack of space. I've got a couple of 1 gallon and 3 gallons as well as party cups for the little guys.

What will I be growing? I've got 2 clones reserved that I'm going to be picking up on 8/1: GG #4 selected from a bagseed, and a type III that I'm forgetting the name of that my friend bred. I also want to get into some ACE and DJ Short gear off the bat, which will be from seed. Longer-term, I intend on diving into some fairly novel genetics.

Today's the inaugural day, as I watered all containers with distilled molasses water. Looking forward to sharing my grow story with you!

My hygrometer was on the floor of the vegging side and read 76% RH and 69.4 °F. I've since Velcro'd it to the wall adjacent to the pots.

How often do you water with molasses? I'm seeing mixed uses online.

BuildASoil 3.0 is at or a little bit above a 7 pH.

I have used molasses in the past, but have since switched to blended fruits in funnel shaped holes in my grow bags. I call them Fungal Repositories.

I've heard that BuildASoil is pretty popular, and the 3.0 is well-rated. We shall see!

Just checked out your thread, @farmerlion. Once I'm not confined to a tiny tent, I'd love to grow in big containers (or the biggest container of all, for that matter) and emulate your method. Sorry to hear about your long COVID, too. What helps or makes it worse?

Hey fine folk, I'm wondering if I should treat the clones that I'm expecting to get on the 1st with spinosad or something like Dr. Earth's Final Stop Vegetable Garden Insect Killer Spray as a preventative measure. Thoughts?

After reading this paper, I've decided that I'll be soaking a feminized ACE Panama and a DJ Short Blueberry F5 in 1% hydrogen peroxide on August 1st. Hopefully I get a female Blueberry!

I was going on an evening walk, and wouldn't you know it, I chanced upon a little guy:

My guess is that this is a feral NLH left over from the Navy's encouraging farmers to grow cannabis for cordage during WWII.

I'll be starting my grow in a couple of days! Don't know if you can tell, but I'm pretty stoked.

I use sulphur and soak them well.

Quarantine is key in most situations.
