Down size from 2K to 1200w??

i dont understand why people hate on 1kw lights. if you got the area, enviroment, ventilation, a standard 1kw will outproduce a standard 600watt light by 40%. and digital 1kw will outproduce a digital 600 watt by guess what, 40%.
however, there are situations where a 600 is a more suitable light for the job, like in a closet or a cabinet, or if you got power restrictions. but you cannot compare a 600 to a 1000.

the 240V bulbs will run cooler than their 120v friends. if you can have a socket wired for 240V, thats the way I'd go.

I currently have a 120v lumatek ballast (600w). No interference. I could not install a 240v socket and 120v was my only option.

WTF? Do you honestly have any idea what you're talking about? The bulb will get the same wattage no matter what voltage it's being used on...it just takes half the amperage with 240v since the load is split across 2 hot legs.

Yeah the bulb gets the same power no matter what. That is why there is the ballast, to give the correct power to the bulb.

I have heard that a ballast on 240 is a tiny tiny ammount more efficient than 120.
