A bit about Doobie Duck:

Jeff born in Ohio in 1954. His Grandfather was an avid early photographer, journalist and newspaper publisher, Millersburg Ohio. His Father, a helicoptor pilot, who helped map the entire Western U.S. Jeff went along to land on many mountain tops in this region which, at the time, had never been mapped.

Being exposed to Mother Natures’ finest untouched areas, he believes was very influential in developing his eye for light and composition, wildlife and scenery, he also feels formed his understanding and love for nature, wildlife, photography and the outdoors. For four years he was a photography student and assistant to his high school photography class. There he studied black and white film photography and darkroom technique.

Throughout his lifetime he has been creative in many different art mediums including stained glass, watercolors, chainsaw carving, inlay marquetry, relief antler carving, flint knapping, lapidary and jewelry making. In the early 70’s Jeff became a pioneer in cannabis photography. In the 90s he started macro cannabis photography and has become one of the world most recognized in this field.

Many magazines: Treating Yourself magazine in issues #14 with his story “Wildlife Photographer Goes to Pot” His macro cannabis images on their Art Issue cover. Skunk magazine featured his macro cannabis art on their cover and in a macro photo spread and story. Vegas Cannabis their covers 2 times. Books: He has been featured in books by Ed Rosenthal, the Growing Guide, Big Buds, and Beyond Buds with David Downes. Green Candy Press Sativa Guide #3 featured his breeding, Doobies’ Malawi. Several times he has been featured in Ed Rosenthal’s Big Bud Cannabis Calendar. In 2016 he was featured on the cover of True Living Organics a book by The Rev.

In 2015 he collaborated with Jorge Cervantes to have over 20 of his cannabis images published in the Jorge Cervantes Cannabis Encyclopedia. Continues to reach out and work with publications 2022.
