Coco+perlite+timed drippers= :) Seriously, you guys read too much into this. Air will be displaced whether the water is dripped 1 liter over a few minutes or 1 liter poured in a few seconds. It's all about volume. It all depends on how you grow though. I like to run clones, so my plants grow at the same rate, and drippers work well for my application. I also agree with the less more often concept. I think there's lot of things in life that concept applies to. Smaller amounts of fresh nutrients get released, they're given time to be absorbed, and then more nutes are released. It's consistency. Personally when I'm consistent- sleep regularly, eat at regularly, etc, I'm happier.

"Don't treat it like soil" usually refers to watering.

Water daily - You NEVER want to overwater soil, it's the #1 newbie mistake, but with coco, when your plants have been in the pot for a week or more, they're probably established and you should water daily, or even 2-3 times a day.

I don't know anything about soil, but keep pH at 5.8 when watering/feeding coco. Also make sure you supplement with calmag, something you normally don't need to do in soil or hydro.

Not much else to it really..
So should I implement Cal Mag with GH 3 part?
It's my first time using GH so I was curious. I use tap water with GH hard water micro.
So far I have not had any issues with deficiencies. I water by hand with a wand and the plants really love the extra Co2.

Don't add anything if you don't need it.

Cal-mag is most often used in conjunction with R/O water. If you're using tap, odds are you don't need it.

But again, go by the plant. No defs, then don't add something to the mix. If it ain't broke, don't fix it :D

Read all the posts and I'd like to know peoples opinion of wicks are. Yeah big grows lend themselves to automation / drippers and what not, but what everyone seems to be agreeing on is 'feed / water when the plant wants it'. What simpler way to do that then let the plant decide. Nylon rope or similar dropping down into a rez which runs up into the coco yadda yadda you know what I mean. Check out the thread by Mistress for a good workable example. Thoughts?
