Very informative thread.

Would like some more info on java. How to disactivate it.How bout on firefox? Any other info on being anonymous would be great. .....

Firefox: Tools>Options>Content tab> Then uncheck Java/JavaScript.

Unfortunately you lose the ability to click above links like add photos etc., but there is probably another way to do that just havn't figured it out yet.

Tor: I have to find the somewhat heated discussion I was just reading here regarding the use of this and it's "true" anonymity. BRB, in the mean time look at this for comfort....

in firefox you go to firefox preferences, then to content, there you will see java script and java which can both be turned off by checking the apropriate box.
