does trimming lower budsites help

I currently have 5 white rhinos and 1 cali-o which are all being grown naturally.. They are in their 30th day of flowering and the tallest plant has very thin buds even at the top. Some of the other plants have nicer tops. I was thinking of trimming lower bud sites because I heard it increases the energy to other bud sites, but I am not sure.
Does trimming lower bud sites put more energy concentrations to other bud sites? I'm really considering trimming the bottom bud sites to increase energy concentrations on other sites.. Does this work?? should I be doing this a few weeks into flowering??
I also cut the tip of one of the tops because it got burnt apparently this makes the top bud fatter.. I wouldn't have tried this but i did it anyways as the top was burnt..
Help is much appreciated..
this is what the top looks like at day 20

this is the plant at day 25 of flowering, its around 5 feet tall...

This is another plant with a bushy bottom but is doing pretty well... don't know if i want to trim the bottom of this plant...

So is trimming lower bud sites a good idea?? Maybe I should experiment by trimming lower bud sites off of some plants and leave others normal.. Alot of the plants are bushy at the bottom...

you want to trim the bottom of that plant trust me. The stuff on the bottom will be atrophied, not the kinda buds you want. Nice looking plants btw.

no shiva, think before you give advice!!!!

hangook- your on day 30 of flower!!! its too late to trim the lower bud spots.... after day 14 its hands off unless you have a serious height emergency. You can trim when she is less than 14 days into flower.... if you trim now it will stress her out and mess up her system. You have no choice but to leave them and learn for the next time.... theyre very healthy so i dont think youll be disapointed.... that stretch is pretty insane so next time your gonna want to LST or flower earlier on so they dont get that big.

good luck,

those plants don't look anywhere near half way done and like 5 ft tall ... I don't think removing the suckers is going to mess that plant up. I would remove at least the bottom quarter of it. I usually don't clean mine up till about day 14.

usually i like to trim suckers before flower, or you could risk shocking it at an important growth phase.

Me too, definately no loger than 2 weeks in.When cutting nodes leave a "nub" dont cut all the way back to the stalk to prevent any possible dieback stalk diseases

So its too late to trimm lower bud sites?? So I should just leave them now and let them grow?? damn it should have trimmed the lower bud sites earlier..

Go ahead and trim them. It's still early in flowering. Another thing that helps is tying up the tops and branches. It gives them more support so they can hold more bud weight.

I personally have trimmed the bottom buds from the start of budding to the end, at the start of budding I trim the little buds that get no light/energy, so the rest will fatten up, then some times I pluck buds off the side of the plant to smoke while I leave the top of the plant to max out. Im sure cutting the buds/branches dont put them in shock, I think they will just put more energy in the rest of the plant. just my 2 cents
