Does this plant have a fungal infection? If so, what can I use to fix it?

This is a mother plant growing in coco coir with a bit of perlite mixed in. Other plants in the same room get the same feeding schedule and look pretty healthy, but this one is starting to look a bit funky. The pics of the leaves shown here are from the mid level leaves, the canopy leaves look pretty healthy but seem a bit light green instead of a nice full green.

This plant was directly in front of a fan for a while and the room is usually around 80 F and no more than 30% RH. I was hoping these leaves were just the result of drying out but I can't be sure. The coco doesn't have any off-putting smell whatsoever and regularly dries out in between feedings.

Am I just seeing something that isn't there? If it possibly is a fungal infection, what would you use to combat it?

Hi twodogplant.
doesn't look like mold.
it's ether a phosphorus deficiency or your over feeding....

what are you feeding them and how much?

Pureblendpro 15-20 mL/gal, liquid karma 5 mL/gal, cannazym and rhizotonic, the weekly calmag 3-4 mL/gal, occasional silica blast 2-3 mL/gal and 3-4 mL/gal of hydroguard. 5 cups of this until near runoff every other day, but she's only under four standard household 4 foot blue florescent bulbs.

I had some plants test positive for pseudomanas syringae and phytothora a few months ago and the leaves looked similar. There was more yellowing though. I don't know which one of the two did it but give a quick Google search and look at some pics of those two. I'm no expert and my spelling I'd probably off as well. Good luck

I see a P deficiency.
Ratz :tiphat:

I recently adjusted the pH up slightly because I had another plant that was showing a Cal/mag deficiency and I went up to 6.2 or so for better calcium and magnesium intake but I just noticed that at that pH phosphorus isn't absorbed quite as well as it was at my standard pH of 5.9 or so. Do you think the slight pH change might have something to do with this?

I would kick back the feeding a little. that's a little heavy for growing under four footers. what's your ppm at??

if I were you I would just run the pure blend at 10 ml/gal and up the cal/mag to 5ml/gal. bring the ph up to 6.3. be sure to flush your plants. the salt will build up fast when your feeding every other day.

I have run botanicare for years and they make a lot of products and it can be tempting to use all of them side by side but you can easily over do it..

once they are in flower then you can push it a little and see what works for you.

good luck!:tiphat:

These are just mother plants that will never see flower so I try to keep them flushed regularly (every few weeks I just feed them with pH balanced water with a little bit of cannazym, rhizotonic, and hydroguard) to avoid too much salt buildup. I just took this leaf off of near the top of the same plant, it seems to have little tiny brown burnt spots on the main part of the leaves, do you think it sheds any more light on what's going on with the plant?

Take a picture of the plant. Pulling teeth for answers is a hassle, look at mynamestitch's guide.

twodog the pictures in your first post look exactly like phosphorous deficiency to me as other people have stated. You may have some other minor issues but I would guess the P is causing the leaf damage you've shown.

Here's a picture of the whole plant, what are your thoughts?

Looks like it needs way more food. If you give it what it needs nutrition wise and you still see this happening then you're in trouble. Good luck

I just reread the original post. In coco you should be using full strength feed from 8"tall to pre harvest flush. Look at head recipe, or almost any coco specific line and follow the bottle. Or maxi if you're broke. Your plant should green right up.

I just reread the first post again, lol... Let's see the healthy plants. Also what are you feeding them? When I had the bacteria and pathogens the plants just faded like that and wouldn't green up. It's because they were sick and didn't eat the food they were offered.

I would just feed them a complete balanced nutrient and stop using all the supplements for awhile...
get the plant green again and watch your ph and cal/mag uptake..
if your feeding silica and phosphorus at the same time they binding together and locking out the phosphorus. plus silica deficiency are rare your only upping your ppm and stressing out the plant...
keep it simple!:)

good luck!

What mystic said.

Do you have a meter?
0.6-0.8ec @ 6 pH for a week should set them straight and go from there. That's what I would try.

Doesn't PBP already have a lot of goodies in it? I've never used it but it seems like you could easily over do it adding all that stuff.

Here's the two other plants in the room that are looking healthy with the same nutrient solution and medium.
