Try a lifesaver by bog because it has great taste as well as bag appeal and great smoke of fruity lifesavers and minty smoke.inhale and exhale..both ways.Tasty.Squeeze and its that smoke you're getting.

Find the tasty strain thread.Good smoke to find.

how do u grow chemicals or organic?

Inorganic fertilizer, but I don't fertilize for three weeks before harvest, and by then fan leaves have yellowed and the fertilizer has leached out of the soil or been used up by the plants.

And my weed smells really nice in the jar, and the smell of the burning pot smells really nice, it just doesn't taste nice.
Like toking on burning rubber.

Do you smoke a lot? People who don't often say the same thing. I used to think it all just tastes like smoke until I started smoking more.

Haha there's a HUGE difference between a house on fire containing wood plastic paint and other toxics, and a well grown herb. If your smoke taste like burning wood or anything else other that a tasty weed flavored smoke then YES, you're doing something wrong. Firefighters testify?
Tobacco taste good too?
All minty and shit?
Winston tastes good like a cigarette should!

hmm thats really odd bro. i used miracle gro last 2 years ago and had a really awesome tasteing super lemon haze,so i can only imagine what it will taste like with all the essential nutes..its one the best tasting strains i have ever smoked. i have since moved on from Mg to maxi gro and bloom on some strains and veg+ bloom on the others. i also have 4 strains im running in organic living soil. i want to see if the living soil ones taste better like all the claims have been with organics. i can honestly say i have never had a burning rubber taste of weed. what strains have this odd taste?

That in itself is up for debate. I find American tobacco for the most part has a cigar like flavour that I do not enjoy. With Canadian smokes like Players and Craven A for example there is a much fresher picked tobacco smell and flavour, that is a more flavourful and smooth smoke. American cigs are like those cheap ones you get in the Caribbean.

I read a lot of people going on about the smell of a certain weed, but does it really matter?

I mean sure it smells different when you smell the fresh buds, but I find it all just tastes and smells of smoke when smoked.
Smell is important, it reveals so much about a plant, in veg or in bud, if in bud then you may well be sniffing the terpines, if old enough, it will reveal much of what is to come, lemon, pine, lime etc etc

never underestimate the power of smell ...lol

I think that aroma changes people's expectations. If there were some way to make Nebraska ditch weed smell like RKS I'm sure that some would think they got high off the stuff. OTOH, the opposite is true, as well. Satori I've grown, twice, has faint green/floral aroma, certainly nothing to write home about, but it puts everybody into low orbit.

Having been away from cannabis for a long while, I maybe notice change more than people who changed along with what they were toking. There were differences in taste & smell among the landrace cultivars we smoked way back when, but the gathering of genetics from all over the world & the work of modern breeders has expanded hugely on that. The array of aroma & taste available today is remarkable for old hippies like me.

I hate when people have great bag appeal on the smell, but it doesn't translate to the flavor, and the taste is garbage. I consider that bait and switch type of stuff. @$10 a gram or better

OK, who the fuck said anything about tobacco, IMO that's smells as good as a burning house.

Stop changing the subject, we're talking about a good clean burning cannabis(I use kind so not all organic) and a chemical filled house on fire. Hell if that satisfies you substitute the house for the tobacco. Either way it should be a conversation about a clean burning chemical free cannabis(such as mine) and a chemical filled smoke filled with dangerous toxins. If you can't taste a difference than you taste buds are fucked or your fucking up the weed. Good herb tastes nothing like cigarettes or a house fire.

Burning rubber smells and tastes do come from some strains. Some phenos of AK47, Malawai, and some other unknown Sativa's I have grown have had the taste and smell. Called them all the Goodyear pheno as I was culling them.

Dude, a house fire?? Wtf??

I maintain, better cannabis is needed. It isn't a slam on anyone, some people never have been exposed to top shelf cannabis. After that happens, most weed sucks. That's why I am always in search of exceptional, fine strains that have all the qualities I seek. Taste, potency, bag appeal helps, and yield doesn't matter but is an added bonus if it does well. Life is to short to smoke marginal cannabis.

Also OP, what strain are you growing?

Lots of perlite and Bone and Blood meal in the soil.Mix Bone on top of soil and mix blood meal on the bottom for late stages of flowering.

Makes easier to flush and great smelling buds.

I think the problem lies with my delivery system.
Firstly the smoke is too hot, and it irritates my throat and burns my tongue.
Now what I need firstly is more distance between the burning weed and the end I inhale from. And more filters in this area.

I can't smoke bongs, I don't like the thing of inhaling the smoke straight into the lungs, I smoke joints like a cigarette, inhaling into the mouth first and then inhaling it.

So I am thinking of a design for a pipe to smoke through.

Sort of like a standard pipe except half way along the pipe the smoke goes through copper coils which are contained in a chamber, just sort of a wider section of the pipe.
I envisage being able to pack crushed ice around these copper coils, so that the smoke is cooled as it passes through them.

And maybe a filter of some sort, one just before the smoke goes through the coils and another filter at the end you smoke through to filter the smoke after it has gone through the coils.

if your smoking experiences are so bad, why stick with combustion?
vaping is tough to beat
some are married to the burn but they enjoy smoke

Then you haven't found the right bong/bubbler, or something's up with the smoke making it burn hotter.
A good herb well grown, well manicured(leafs make it burn hotter), no late pollination(making something called pulpits,"preseeds" that burn like wood), and not too many stems or none at all, and you should have a good clean smooth smoke, filtered or not. If you still can't get it, maybe try vaporizing. That tastes just as good with no smoke.

Well I exaggerate; it didn't really taste like burning rubber literally, just tasted hot and like smoke. Not like oranges or blueberries or citrus or whatever. No flavour of anything other than smoke.

I wont say what strain because I don't want to give the breeder a bad name, as I gave some of the same strain to a woman last year who said it had a lovely taste, sort of hashy.
So she said it was great, but my experience was it just tasted like smoke, no flavours of anything else.

Anyway I want to have a smoke now, and do a bit more research into how I can roll a joint to make it smoother, maybe two filters, but the problem is there has been a bit of surveillance on me recently and I thought there was a possibility I might get raided so I hid my stash in the vacant lot next door, and there are people all around so I don't want to be seen going and getting it.
So I can't go and get it safely till it gets dark.

TBH, I've bought very little weed since A64 passed & I came back to cannabis, preferring to keep it non-commercial among friends. I just grow & share, other people share with me.

So the weed just is what it is, you know?

I like to think that both aroma & flavor have a low note & a high note, like a musical chord, and a certain rhythm in how they're perceived. And it's kinda like wine, too. It's funny how different strains can smell so different & yet be instantly recognizable as our favorite herb.

I'm surprised to find that the lower end aroma on a lot of kush strains is more fermenting fruit that skunky/earthy, for example, & that some strains are quite distinctive, like yumbolt. My fave so far is Royal Flush, which has a very sweet soft earthy lavender rosemary sandal wood aroma & smooth, sweet earthy old school flavor with a touch of pine. Nice up daydream high, very reminiscent of supposedly Oaxacan of long ago. I'll try Eldorado, half of its lineage, over next winter.
