Texas, You my friend are fucked, like me if your caught, I live east of you here , one plant will get you ten years in the state ass fuck hotel! I don't know exactly what the penalty is in Texas, but it's harsh there on drugs like here!

They weigh the plant, not just usable buds. So imagine what wet plant rootball intact weighs, evevn if htis plant would only yeild a few ounces, all the plant matter is gonna weigh well over a pound.

Texas considers each plant to be a pound so less is better...and many people get it from trying to grow in an apartment. The maintenance people come around when you are gone and dig through your shit and turn you in. Many others get it because they do not control smell. By the time it is a problem, it is too late to fix it usually. And then there is the fire problem. But if you are real careful, you might be okay. In reality, someone that knows the setup needs to be there 24/7. And no apartments or lease houses where the owner comes around uninvited.It might be cheaper to just buy hydro if it is decent quality and you don't get hot going to get it. Stay away from kids. They usually can't grow anything but mid grade, dried out , brown shit and they are walking heat machines...Harris county jail sucks! I know someone that has been there...might remember that the narcs are generally between 35-45 years old also. But the kids are loose lipped..
goddamn where the fuck they paying 16 thousand dollars a pound for weed?

Absolutely plant count matters, in almost every situation imaginable; med state, non med state, Australia, it matters.
99 3inch plants vegging under CFL's won't yield as much as 4 beasts consuming a 10x10 bedroom under 5k watts. You know this. I know this. But the local newspaper editor, the local judge, the local DA, and the public at-large (jurors) do not know this.
A cursory Google search will illuminate the relationship between plant count, sensational media hacks claiming " massive bust! [xyz] plants!" and disgustingly long sentences.
None of this is super-secret insider knowledge. Do a Google search OP.

I know someone that got busted with a few plants in H-Town. I'll try to find out what happened. He also ran from the cops so his sentence may be a little skewed. I don't think he did jail time, but let me check.

In November I got raided and caught with what they said was about 170 plants. It was more like 130, and only about 80 if you didn't count the ones I had just gotten rooted.
I was also still on felony parole for a meth sales charge from 2001.
Never heard a whisper about the feds getting involved. Currently doing about half a year on house arrest. Spent one month in county jail waiting for a parole hearing where I had to present a pretty strong argument to get released pending the new charge.
