Im in the processing of setting up my tables on a irrigation system set up w a timer and spray stakes for drain to waste. I was wondering if anyone has this type of set up and how does it work? photos are greatly appreciated.

Most irrigation valves have a relatively high pressure requirement. You might want to check and see if this specification will work with your installation. Direct-acting valves (as opposed to pilot-operated) are more appropriate for low-pressure applications.

Well this is how I set up. PVC manifold with tophat grommets and 1/4" tubing to the plants.
This was version 1.0 with a single open ended line taped to a stake.

Version 2.0 with the 1/4" line split with a tee and going to two open ended lines per pot.

As far as a timer, just hook up your pump to a basic timer and you are all set. I will probably go to version 3.0 with shrubblers instead of open ended lines.
