Does a shower kill your buzz?

eating IMO does kill intensity of effect but that's nothing another BH for dessert wont solve. But I have never really had the shower buzz kill issue but I will raise a somewhat valid point. for those of you that are city dwellers and on city water...if your h2o has fluoride in it, then when you shower you're whole body absorbs alot more of the fluoride(skin is largest organ on body) compared to you just drinking water with fluoride in it. well fluoride calcifies the pineal gland. and the pineal gland is involved in our bodily responses to psychoactive substances. so perhaps a fluorinated shower could kill a buzz by virtue of this fact? I guess we could do some study and have someone on well water take a shower and see vs. someone showering in fluorinated water to see but I just thought it was interesting. F*&$ fluoride, just another means of poisoning the sheeple. A lot of this could just be in the mind too. A buddy of mine way back put it in my head that eating killed your buzz, so I dunno if its true or my mind thinks it is. He was in a rough spot and I was gonna buy him dinner cuz he said he hadn't hardly eaten in 2 days and I was like lets puff puff and then eat and he was like "ahh well man I'd rather eat first and then puff if you don't mind cuz eating kills your buzz" and obviously in his rough situation he was concerned about prolonging effect ha

No.

Just as stoned as I was when I set foot in the shower as I was getting out.

Sometimes that hot steam can make me feel even more buzzed though.

Getting high is known to lower blood sugar levels so it is reasonable to theorize that eating something, especially things with lots of fats and sugars (like most favorite munchies are) could in fact alter the effect of marijuana. Another reasonable theory relates to making canna butter, canna butter works the way it does because the cannabinoids in marijuana tend to bond to fats. This allows you to boil the resin off the plants then add butter which the resin then bonds to. Then you can let it cool and remove the solidified butter and dump out the water and plant material left behind. Well perhaps then when we eat fat rich foods (again which is true of what most people munch on) maybe the THC and other cannabinoids in our blood stream attaches to the fat which is typically then sent to fat in the body for storage or out thru the intestines. So it would be reasonable to speculate that eating certain foods could "kill" a buzz. If true however eating non fat or low fat foods should have little to no impact and eating other foods that might enhance blood flow for example could actually improve a buzz.

Makes sense to me. THC stores in bodyfat too. UA is a nightmare, takes me 6 weeks to clean out...guess I need to loose some weight, haha

Interesting thread. I've never seen this topic on this or another canna forum but I've always (personally) accepted that eating (too much, specifically) lessens the intensity of the high, as well as a shower. Especially the shower, actually.

I have no "evidence" of this, just my own experience. I've always felt the "need" to re-medicate after a large meal or a shower. It doesn't completely eliminate the high, but rather it brings on the "comedown" effects that tell me it's time to re-medicate.

Anytime I'm overly medicated and need to be able to think clearly? I jump in the shower and grab a bite to eat.

Have used hot water to help with stomach problems and pain for years. Cannabis really helps a lot with this. For me that means soaking in really hot water though. I have done with shower in a pinch when I had to, but I much prefer the tub. I have found that water temps matter more than if it is a tub or shower.
When I am hurting really badly, I have found that cannabis and a tub of hot water can be enough for me to get by with as opposed to opiates.

Either way works pretty good for me. Both have their advantages I think. One thing I noticed that still blows my mind is going out in the cold. Went out for an hour in 2 degree temps, blazing the whole time. Never felt high until I walked inside and BAM! Sat down and passed out.
Drastic changes in environment can take your high either way in my experience.

I'm gonna agree with ^^^ too.

I don't get high when its really cold. I smoke at work in the adjacent building which is abandoned (we'll be renovating it) and really freakin' cold in there. I never feel high until I'm back in the other building.
