I'm referring to trichome colors. I'm under the impression a strain is passed it's optimal growing phase when the trichomes are about 33% amber and 66% cloudy. Is this an accurate way to denote a strains true flowering time?
I'm an organic outdoor grower, so I like to have plants finish by mid October because of my Autumn weather conditions..
But I understand indoor growers looking for fast finishers...
However, what i don't under stand is the statement I quoted above...
Why would you consider letting a plant ripen to the point of 33% amber?
This is way beyond the optimal time unless you are looking for something that will just put you to sleep...
That's not why I smoke weed...
