getting a new prescription for my glasses soon. Smoking and contacts suck. Anyone else experience severe dry eye and unable to fix it, no matter how many drops or different kinds of drops?

Hmmm, I have been feeling very light headed and dizzy as of late. Sort of like the feeling you get when you wear a pair of glasses that are way too strong for you. I had a dream I woke up and could see better with out them on, but alas, no such luck. I hope I am heading towards this though, would make me feel great. I hate wearing glasses.
I wear glasses (obviously), I tried contacts for a short while but I could not get them to stay in. I had flexible, breathable, extended wear contacts, but after an hour or say they would fall out. Always fall out, could not keep them in for a day straight. Everyone, well...every girl, I meet says I have beautiful eyes. It is just a damn shame they barely work.
Could be worse though...

My vision has also improved with age (I'm 44) - I can see further sharper, and my close-up vision is fine too. I put it down to the amount of weed I smoke....

Many of my friends are now wearing glasses or contacts. I very occasionally wear an old pair of glasses when I'm fishing, but that prescription was from when I was 16, and it doesn't help that much now - just a little extra clarity in the distance...

Yup. That's why I had to stop wearing contacts. I had too many minerals in my eye juice. I would put in a fresh pair ofcontacts, and after 3 days they would be unwearable.

I finally just gave up and have stayed with glasses for 9 years now.
