I my self dont ph my soil and have never had any ph problems ,but I have had that many people tell me to go either way
some say it dose more harm than good
others say its a must
I use john innes no 3 with crushed lime buffer ,my tap water is 7.3 but after nutes are added who knows?

i buffer my tap water(7.5-7.8)with vinegar to 6.5 or within a point
1 tsp per gallon of water.ive done this so many times its a standard
for my plants.

lol ran out of pH tests waaaay back..
i haven't tested the pH of my water or run-off since maybe october :biglaugh:

sparobis, your feedwater is pH 7.5-7.8? or out of the tap is 7.5/8?

just when are you adding the vinegar?

my tap water is in the high 7's...i let the water sit overnight so the clorine evaps out...then i add 1 tsp of white distilled vinegar to 1 gallon of water...my ph will almost always be 6.3-6.7.then i just feed them.when i add the nutes..i recheck the ph and adjust accordingly if its high(vinegar)if its low(lime)its very consistent.works for me and its easy.
