ok jw.. i never said there wont be fake cuts of those strains going around. i simply asked people to try not to turn it into another fiasco like the glue fakes. didn't say it wouldn't happen, just asked people not to do it. its messed up but im not ignorant. it will happen because of greedy people trying to take advantage of unkowing consumers. seems like you are reading way to far into things. common sense dictates that its inevitable and i know you have common sense, or at least i assumed you did. obviously, name recognition sells. simple as that. even if it looks worse than other strains, if it has a hot name attached to, it it can and will sell faster than better buds with a less recognizable name. .unfortunately a lot of people in this country are ignorant and/ or gullible. thats what makes ic so great, most everyone has a good head on their shoulders, treat eachother with respect and dont mess around. some people are gullible. educate yourself to the best of your abilities, knowledge really is power. power to self determine whats right for your own life.
always verify a cut before you pass it unless you want people bitching at you for trying to help them out. have a friend who passed some cuts to fellow ic'ers but turned out to be a fake and people were hating on him like he did it on purpose. it was simply passed to him as brand x but it turned out to be brand y. not his fault, he was trying to help people but boy do some folks get mad over things they cant control.
It does suck to hear that but everyone doesn't know someone who grows so its just hard to even get source elite genetics. If you don't know someone or cant go to a clone shop what are people going to do if they really want the genetics? They will pay so people either pay or go without. There are gracious people on the forums and I wouldn't have been able to get Chunkys seeds and cuts without a forum buddy. I am lucky so I will give and pass just like it was done for me. Chunkys good karma is on those cuts and seeds they will do just fine
good point, im lucky to have good friends here at ic so im a lucky guy. even here in humboldt these strains are just not available (i will be passing them around when i am able to but i think im one of the few people in the area that got sent cuts (if not the only one) and a large sample of the ic cup winning batch buds. top notch cp , top notch! 2.0 and stink panties jumped to the top of my top ten list. loompas headband #1, 2.0 and stink panties tied for 2nd gg4 a close 3rd, og /chem diesel cuts are number 4 (after being number one for almost ten years i dont include g4 into this category even though its mostly chemdawg family genetics, its in a class of its own.), gsc forum cut and thin mint, and platinum cuts #5
urkle, purple kush, socal master kush and bubba are #6 tw and pineapple tw #7 sour bubble and sour grapes BOG #8, blueberry, candy pheno and MOB cut is number 9 and rks or old school super skunk #10 .
this community is one of the more credible cannabis sites, i dont even bother with CW or other canna forums because i get everything i need right here at ic. lots of good folks here who find great genetics and share them. it aint complicated. if your worried about competition, dont grow these strains because just like the glue these strains are meant by the guy who found the elites, chunky, to be shared. good medicine is special and should never be hoarded.remember penicillin? dude could have made a fortune but gave it away so sick people would regain their health and not die. if you hoard strains and / or are a strictly commercial grower maybe ic isn't the right or best community for you. nothing wrong with being a commercial grower if thats your thing as long as you dont use toxic pesticides, don't divert streams to water your field or destory the land by spilling diesel from generators and using chemy nutes instead of growing organically which works tremendously well oudoors, and dont treat people like $ signs. always treat your crew well. feed them, medicate them, let them listen to music (good for the plants and workers) and treat them with respect. they are the ones looking after and tending to the field. its in your best interest both financially and socially. don't be a dick is a good rule of thumb.
