DO YOU BELIEVE BIGFOOT COULD EXIST???

If you don't believe Fox B.C, here's CNN:

http://edition.cnn.com/2008/US/08/19/bigfoot.hoax/index.html

Wow, not only a fake, but a great con-story to it as well. A police officer and an ex prison guard decides to scam another con-man (Biscardi) for $50 000 with a rubber doll bigfoot.
The Coen brothers could make a movie on that story, it would be a great follow-up to films like "Fargo" or "The Ladykillers".

Oops, I see thousands of Bigfoot internet threads fade out and die, like stars collapsing once the hydrogen is gone.

It's good to talk about it though. To quote Stanford University anthropologist Richard Klein on the matter, "Anything has a remote chance of being true, but there is virtually no prospect of this animal being real."

Lol, don't forget your Taiwanese tape recorder, to catch those gruesome Sasquatch howls at night.

Seriously, let's leave the door open for interpretation of what many Bigfoot observations/sightings could be, and let's not get ahead of ourselves in interpretating what some people may have seen or heard.

Neanderthals, Ape men, Cookie monsters and Pleadian Starship troopers is all great fun to speculate about and fill up bandwith with, but you have to ask yourself some serious questions:

We have found fractions of bones of hominids that lived millions of years ago, in very small numbers, and that is all we need to mark down the existence of a new species in the evolutionary chain. How come we haven't found one single bone - or even fraction of a bone - of a such a large creature that the Bigfoot is said to be?

In biology, there's a term called Minimum Viable Population (MVP), which refers to the population size a certain type of species need in order to avoid genetic deterioration (inbreeding) and extinction.
As to humans and primates, it is concidered that the minimum MVP is between 500 to 1000 individuals. They don't all have to live together, but there has to be a genetic 'pool' of say 500 individuals that cross their genetics with eachother. We're not talking a global figure, but local, let's say county or state-wise. Which means that there should be thousands and thousands of living Bigfoots all over the American continent (Canada included), since Bigfoot reports come from practically every state in the country.

Where are they? Where are the remains of countless of generations of Bigfoots (a race that should be just as ancient as Homo Sapiens) that has walked this earth? There should be hundreds of thousands of them.

We can find bones of hominids in Africa, belonging to populations that never exceeded 10 000 individuals, extinct, but not that?

You want to be careful here. Lack of evidence does not equal proof of non existance. We haven't found the missing link, yet here we are. The world's gorilla population just tripled a few weeks ago.

Beyond simple skepticism, I'd have thought the first give-away was in who the clowns called. Me? I'd call the Museum of Natural History, the Smithsonian Institute, John Hopkins, hell, the CDC. These clowns called a professional fraud. And then they fleeced him. Priceless.

Yes. Which is why I said that we should leave the door open for interpretating the Bigfoot phenomenon.

What missing link are you talking about, and what does it change? Yes, there are certainly off-shot sub-species in the Human evolutionary chain that we haven't dug up (yet). Still, it does not question our own existence, nor Darwinian evolution. As you said, here we are.

It did? Those horny gorilla-f...ers...

Good you brought up gorillas. Let's use Mountain Gorillas as an example. An extremely rare (latest count brought the total number of individuals left to 720, which means it is on the brink of extinction) sub-species primate, and getting rarer all the time due to human activities (should be the same for Bigfoot, if he exists). It lives only in four isolated mountain areas of Africa, and it shuns humans.
Still, we know Mountain Gorillas exist. We know where they live, we know what they eat, how they behave, etc. A number of them live in zoos around the world. There are countless of researchers scouting their natural habitats, and some individuals carry radio-transmitters up their asses, so that we can keep track of every move they make.

But there's no whatsoever tangible evidence of a primate called Bigfoot, supposedly bigger than gorillas, and present in just about every US state (which leads us to believe that there must be way more Bigfoots than Mountain Gorillas)?

Excuse me, I misspoke. It was the Lowland Gorilla population that exploded. 50,000 one day, 175,000 the next. How do you miss 125,000 gorillas? Somehow we did. But, no I don't expect bigfoot on my door anytime soon. Nessie maybe, once she finds I have $3.50.

ha, just wait until you get to se his... reproductive organ.

In fact, a Bigfoot skeleton was found already in 1971, and it's anatomy was studied in detail.

As you can see above, Bigfoot's sex is of a certain size. While human males have a single penile bone, Bigfoot has a triple-jointed bone that can make a "U" turn, and deposit its sperm outside the female. This handy and efficient form of birth control explains the rarity of Bigfoot today. The triple jointed penis also suggests that Bigfoot is able to engage in athletic mating practices without damaging the bone, and this inspired the creature's scientific name, "Giganticus Erectus Robustus ".

No idea, but I do know, if he's out there, he's blurry. Just one one big blurry creature roaming the woods.

No I do not believe it is out there. I find it difficult to believe that such a large creature, living on the North American continent, would not have been identified, categorised, and driven to extinction or relegated to the position of zoo attraction by now.

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, but it is a pretty good indicator usually.
