The BM is a nice,colorful indica.I crossed the BM to a LUI male (Ultimate Moonshine) and the cross turned out pretty good.

The OTM has a higher percentage of mutants but the good ones seem to be more potent than the BM.

It's really hard to pick one over the other,they both have thier merits.

Nice plant.

Yeah,that's the original UM motherplant,that's where the color comes from.I crossed that back in early '03 and gave away all the seeds but people seemed to like it so I made some F2 from the original and gave them away in '04 I think.Maybe someday I'll do a F3,I grow the F2 routinely.

Well, I've got DP's version of the Moonshine and plan to give it a try, along with Fem Seeds WW. Hoping even the "second tier" version of this herb is worth the effort, no?

You know Shasta, there's a lot of people in the forums dizzing Dutch Passion's DJ Short genetics, there's even a hate-thread dedicated to DP's Blueberry. As usual, second hand information is passed on at face value. I heard someone say it sucks, so it sucks. I have the feeling it's ideological rather than anything else, some people don't like DP for one or another reason...
But DP's Blue strains is DJ Short's work just as much, and the difference between it and DJ Short's own Blue family is not so much about quality as individual taste, IMO, as JLP pointed out concerning the Moonshine.

I've grown DP's Blueberry and it was an excellent strain. If you check out Overgrow's strainguide (http://www.hanflexikon.de/) and read the grow reports from those who actually grew DP's Blue's, you'll find that they're generally as positive as the DJ Short growers.

I've smoked better Blueberry that the DP Blueberry I grew, but that was from elite phenos. An odd keeper pheno really can change your whole perception of a strain, so if you're lucky, you'll come across one in your BM:s.

Which is the case with most all strains/genectics & especially true when it comes to the origins of "Elite Cuts" (usually from a large pool of gals)

Look at John Lennon. Got hated on by the government and everyone and there mother was talkin crap about him towards the end of his life. And he was one of the best people who ever lived.I could go on with examples ;like this of regular people, famous people and people all over this site.
But I won't.

I loved Blue Moonshine and I need to to get it again.
Old time Moohshine sounds like a must as well.
I think I would have to try both and deside which I liked more.
I just remember this aftertaste that was unbelievable to me.
It justleft the best musky taste in your mouth.
I guess from the affy in it.
IT must be an affy from the affy part of the Kush mountains maybe. Just guessing.
But the old time Moonshine sounds even more Musky which is what I loved about Blue Moonshine. So I might like the OT Moonshine better.
I'll have tofind out after I'm done with what I got going now.

Ive smoked both DJ's and DP's Blueberry and they were somewhat similar. Id say the DP was a little morer potent, but Dj's was a more enjoyable high. The difference that the growers of them stated was that DJ's was more stable and produced more "keepers". DP's was nothing special for the most part except for one pheno, while DJ's produced 3 plants that blew even DP's keeper away.
