Hi everyone Ive been trying to figure out what the difference is between Blue Moonshine and Old Time Moonshine. If anyone could shed some light on it i would be very appreciative. Peace.
Thanks for the words Bluntman, Ive heard the same thing about the whole DP thing but i thought DJ still had his own line of it,and that a new batch of the beans was in the works(although haven't seen any in a long while). Now all I can find is OTM and was wondering if someone knew how they match up?
I'd like to get a hold of a good clone of BM.
I had one but it wasn't as good as others I've smoked from.
I grew it outside and it was weak.
Maybe it was the hot temps?
I read in the DJ and Legends forum that the oldtime moonshine was a building block for the bluemoonshine. So it sounds like it is an early generation from the bluemoonshine line to me.
I was told that Blue Moonshine was a collaberation with Chimera and DJ Short, I don't have 100% confirmation on it. The Old Time Moonshine I have read, is a f5 of blueberry, once again without 100% confirmation. If Red comes around, maybe he can clear things up.
i second IL´s statement ... def not - Bm is as well as Blueberry and Flo selected from Dj´s genepool , which contain´s 2 thai´s and an affy , being Bm the most indy style type of the blue line ...
Yea DEF not a joint thing. My memory seems to fail me these days, but I can recall Red saying something about OTM being a reworked version of BM, but in the same note he also said that BM wouldn't be available for at least a year.Infering that OTM has its own specialized breeding history and must be diffrent- final note the description of BM and OTM are practically identical. RED/DJ where are you guys??
Old Time Moonshine description - A true Hashplant, selected for its outstanding production of large, clear gland heads. This mostly indica hybrid really packs a musky/fruity punch with a medium height producing large, dense buds glistening with trichomes. She is more musky than fruity with a burgundy\earthen flavour at cure. Top notch Moonshine! This will be a very limited release, so get them before the still runs dry!
Indoor-7-8 weeks
Outdoor-mid September
Yield-above average
"If I remember correctly the OTM is actually an F5 Blueberry" from JLP from Strainguide
Blue Moonshine description - The "Blue" version of the "White" family (White Widow, etc). A super potent blueberry Indica, coated with a strong concentration of tall standing trichomes. Produces a very narcotic experience - body high blueberry. Short, stout kush plants that produce dense, tight, rock hard nuggets of trichome coated bud. A true "hash plant".
Thank you for clearing that up for me, I was only told this and not by the breeders so I just thought I'd add it in and obviously there are quite a few people who know better than I, what a surprise eh?
Well, I've got DP's version of the Moonshine and plan to give it a try, along with Fem Seeds WW. Hoping even the "second tier" version of this herb is worth the effort, no? Shasta
