Out of curiosity how do u know they are fake? Have u grown it before to compare. I grew out 2 packs, u can see that they are alike. Ive got 3 packs going now about 2 weeks from seedling. If u want to throw up some pics of the bb, there is a decent chance I could tell u if they are likely bb or not.

Well, I can't say for certain but the two seedlings I have are struggling big time. One has been a sickly thing right from the start and won't last the week. The other is a very ordinary thing and was completely different in appearance to the other in the first couple of days after coming up.

It isn't explainable by the usual case of different phenos or anything. I'm an experienced grower, everything else in the grow is coming along beautifully, but these seedlings are terrible and not worthy of the rep DJ's BB has.

I have been very careful with nutes etc. I did a lot of research into the strain before I bought the beans.

I'll persevere with the better individual. If it turns out OK I'll put in the remaining half pack of beans in next time I do a seed grow.

But I'm sort of resigned to never having the opportunity to grow DJ's BB, I don't have access to genuine beans because of where I live.

I take it all back. I now believe my DJ Short Blueberry beans from Attitude are legit.

I only had two seedlings to base my judgment on and they were so unimpressive in the first week or so that I thought for sure they were duds.

But the better of the two is going really well at day 26. It is around 11-12", has six or so nodes and a very healthy crown, the stems are deep purple and the leaves are five fingered, broad and blunt with few serrations.

If it is a knock off version it is pretty good!

The runt has gone from being a twisted pair of dicotyl leaves to now looking like it will make a nice plant now that it has two sets of leaves and a healthy crown and standing around 6".

I still have five beans to grow out and I'm excited again about these beans, even if I did kill another two at the beginning of this grow with a mistake during germination.

A fortnight ago I thought I'd bought rubbish for top dollar, so I'm happy to come back to correct the record and apologize to the people at Attitude.

PW, take u a deep breath, slow down, n grow that crop out. when its done n ur testing it u will know if u have something u enjoy. That's really what ur after, and there is no replacement for experience. If u like it then cool, if not, there are plenty more seeds out there to be had.

Some characteristics to look for are, variegation, thicker looking, dull, dark green leaves on top, with purple undersides. Purple/red stems, hollow n sturdy. Stem rub aromas are very consistently earthen, floral, red wine, berry. tend to pre flower when root bound.

From what I have gathered reading the boards here, getting viable legitimate DJ short beans in Europe seems to be a pain in the ass if not impossible.

I dont agree. Attitude carries his stuff. Teres a couple other legit sites that ship to europe

Dj genetics are very distinctive compared to most other strains ive grown. especially the leaf n stem. Find a thread with some bb pics n u will def be able to know if urs match those characteristics. Some characteristics to look for are, variegation, thicker looking, dull, dark green leaves on top, with purple undersides. Purple/red stems, hollow n sturdy. Stem rub aromas are very consistently earthen, floral, red wine, berry. tend to pre flower when root bound.

Your description could accompany a photo of the better of my two DJS Blueberry. Unfortunately I'm unable to upload any.

This plant is so nice I won't mind if it is a male, I'll use it to make some F6's if I can find a nice female among the last 5 beans I have on hand. I had 4 pop out of the first 5 I put in but I accidentally killed 2 of the seedlings when very young.

If it's a female it will be the first plant into my mother setup.

When I have a nice selection of strains for both daytime and nighttime smoke, also for both medicinal and recreational purposes, I intend to begin growing from clones for the first time after 20 years growing out bag seed and poorly bred F1's I made myself.

I'm just hoping that I can find a DJS Blueberry that will clone easily.

He did make a big show of saying he'd checked out the site and was going to go ahead with the journal.

I think he got annoyed when people began discussing related topics rather than his grow.

Which is a little bizarre, considering we were chatting because there was so little of his grow journal actually available for discussion at that point.

It's disappointing. I've growing DJ's Blueberry right now and I have no experience with the strain at all.

yeah it is dissapointing.. but fair call i didnt think maybe he got a bit shitty due to so many people questioning the authenticity of the dj short BB..

im in a similar boat as i have BB (dj short) x sour bubble.. and wanted to watch a long so i could get an idea of how it would look so i can pick whats showing more and this sort of crap.. im sure ill be able to find info elsewhere.. as there only seedling still im not to rushed..

but when you get to 50 posts you can then send pms to people and such.. so if you could pm me once you can and we could discuss how things are looking and turning out for us.. thanks mate..
