Heck with the POS oscillating fans that crap out (especially when using pulleys and strings to move your HPS cool tubes back and forth a foot ;) ). I would just zip tie the EB strips directly to the plastic grill on the output side of a cheap 20 inch walmart box fan, aiming down at the canopy, and be done with that shit. Thats too easy and effecient though, lol. I would add my furnace filter directly to the box fan too.. although making a DIY filter box for the intake ports on a tent is boss af, and helps block any stray light rays that try to get in.. Keeps all the nasties out of your cannabis.

@Ttystikk

We just found the best fucking idea to run the EB3 Slims in a vertical grow.

Stack 20” fans with 23.25” strips on the face, pointed at the plants. All of the heat will be direct from the strips to the plants, the fans can be stacked as high as you can frame them. The fans can be mounted vertical or horizontal to cover the floor and ceiling as well.

Fucking hell, you’ll have a gull’darn tornada in there!

Fiberglass?
I guess they are quite low powered, but then I wonder if it's a bad start.

This won't change with differing power levels.

No, the hot-spot will become more intense. With the “red” strips this won’t be so much of an issue, with the “white” strips it will not.

Spacing is key.

I do not recommend “blue” strips unless you want very short plants as they have tons of blue and very little red.

Anyway, I gotta run, but I'll be back later and snap some pics of the latest build. I expect to have my balls busted over how ridiculous it is, and not get off easy. I'm not only adding supplemental hallies and incandescent, but also water cooling the screw in LEDS too. All because I love screwing around like that, and want a pet lizard that might try to jump on the lighting strips and get burned, and needs basking light. I wanna bask under it too when there's no plants. And get UVs from the LEDs, to raise my low vitamin D levels in the winter? Ahh yeah! Later boys

Red Light Therapy.

The ones that took over the governments that made incandescent bulbs illegal know that we need incandescent lighting for our Health & Well-being.

The plan is to take it away so they can sell it back to us in the form of “tanning” or “therapy”.

Fucking over-kill.

I would compete with you using flat-white bathroom paint, a piece of cardboard and some hot-glue with shoe strings to hang.

These EB3 Slims are so good all you need is an oscillating fan above them pointed through the strips at the plants.

The (x12) 590mm 4000K 80 CRI were producing over 2,000 ppfd @ 20W a piece on 1/16” thick aluminium angle. This fixture is going to be broken down and rebuilt with a smaller footprint and a driver half the wattage. That’s how powerful they are.
That build just looks clean af👌🙇‍♂️. What size tent is that in ? And what distance do you take your ppfd readings?

I switched back to the 100W and turned it down to 50W and brought it closer to the plants, I was killing the clones.

I repeat, I was killing the clones.

~280 ppfd on the Haze (left)
~250 ppfd on the Blueberry (right)

Thank you!

I really enjoyed building this one, it is too powerful for what I’m doing right now. The 150W was swapped for a 100W running @ 50%. The clones were dying from light poisoning.

The tent is the new Gorilla 2x2.5x6.5 tent. Since the last photo the Kush moved into the all new Gorilla 2x4x6.9 tent, that thing is massive for $150. Given how tight the veg tent is I’m going to buy another 2x4 from Gorilla and get another EVAC system from AC Infinity. I wouldn’t doubt I could manage 4 plants in there vegging but if I can manage a larger tent I will.

I’m not paid by Gorilla, I spent my own money on the tents, bars, pots etc. I didn’t know AC Infinity existed until last December and I’m using Miracle Grow and General Hydroponics because I spent so much money getting setup in the past four months.

I literally had nothing more than three Vero’s and two drivers last November.

My grow ops in a trailer (wish I had more insulation..) BTW. If I'm gone and my transfer switch (not installed yet) fails to kick over the generator, everything in there will freeze, including my light fixtures.. Having glycol based coolant will solve any problems of them freezing up too, and possibly cracking. I'm also gonna be using my DIY glycol window banger chiller to cool multiple different loops with stainless wort coils, all from one res.
I have my reasons to use it. Just saying, it works fine. Not exactly recommending you guys use antifreeze over water with additives in your loops..
My shop has had a long power outtage 4 out of the past 5 years I've lived here, everything freezes over and I'm stuck starting over, ive had a few plants make it thru freezing solid. Anyways I wouldn't do water cooling without antifreeze, because of my situation, maybe thru summer I could go without it.

How long would that be, a week or so? You should be thinking of making your own electricity.

In a power outage my extraction fan will run for about a week on battery power. A failing extraction fan can be very dangerous in the Netherlands because of the smell ;)
The longest was like 18 days, and I live 1/2 mile from the station, it's ridiculous. The circuit my house is on only has like 5 houses, when storms or freezes happen we're on the bottom of the priority list. Our electricity is cheap but failures suck. Batteries are getting cheaper, generator & storage is an option I've been looking into along with solar panels.

Do you have natural gas?
