I don’t look anything like this.

😂
You don't look like Kobe Bryant, either. You gonna argue he's an animal and you're not?

In any case, I don't want this discussion to spin any farther out of control than it already has and my intention here is not to insult anyone or to dog pile.

Do me a favor; re-read what I've written and give it careful thought. And then take your dog for a walk.

Speaking of, my old dog was easily smart enough to understand human conversations and demonstrated as much regularly. One of my biggest regrets in life was not to get those little pads that say words when pets step on them. I would dearly love to really know what he was thinking...

Just caught up and i dont even know what im missing, lol
Diy Leds sirs and ladies:) or anything related.

LED infrared supplementation is where we left off.

I’ve been testing incandescent and there is a 250W halogen IR lamp enroute along with reflectors for the 2700K Vero’s. I also ordered three standard Vero’s in 2700K 97 CRI to strap to CPU heatsinks and run @ 1.4A (~93.8W).

The question I have now is, how effective are the mini halogen IR bulbs that run 50W?

Cheers!

One of these men invented the light bulb.

One of these men advanced our understanding of electricity.

The other is well-known for playing a European sport.

Now, which one has had the most influence on growing cannabis with LED’s?

I found a smoking deal.

400W of IR on top of the 250W on order and the 150W I already have.

😂
UVA + IR together seems difficult to manage.

What size stadium are you growing?

It's good to see people getting light around there plants now. Where plant count matters, I feel it still needs bringing to more peoples attention. I also like how the bottom buds look like the top ones. I don't like trimming parties, or growing stuff to chuck away. But when it's all good bud, top to bottom, a lot of that pain goes away.

I see strip lights on the market now, that look like the linear flo's we used to have in the kitchen. A cover for protection, but also legs as high as pots. I suspect we may of been influencers behind a number of products.

I'm sure we have more to give :)

You're beating a dead horse and answering the wrong question. If you'd like to discuss this further, let's do it in PM. This thread is not the place.

Yep. We’ve been beaten with this non-sense for several decades now. It is all about reducing my people to nothing so we can be thrown away, after that the chains come back out.

Anywho, the IR came in today and I’m absolutely upset with the halogen lamps. The 50W minis are going back immediately.

It's all depends on how much UVA to UVB is in the mix, the intensity and duration. Running UVA/B during the whole duration of lights on is not recommended.

IMO you should optimally use UVA/B to create a positive genetic response without affecting appearance and yield negatively while adding flavour and effects. I'm planning on mimicking sunrise, sunset and peak UV exposure during the middle of the day while keeping intensity as low as possible this run. Total planned exposure is only 1 hours 30 minutes in the last two three weeks of flower.

Cheers!

I pulled the UVA, UVB is just bad news.

I’m suspecting if you can limit how much UVA exposure we could find some benefit. At this point I lack the ability to add that variable.

So, given that blue light is used the least with cannabis I’m really not too concerned.

Thanks for the referral to GLA, love they're spectrum the best I've seen to date. But financially, 6.6k aussie dollars( that's with the 50%off sale ) converts to 77k in my currency does not look doable. That is for 4x Ultri-Mates, and I need to cover 2 4x4's.
I just did some more research and found to hit the 1200ppfd I want I'll need
10x BXRC-40E10K0-B-73 =1200ppfd
25x BXEB-L1190U-40E3000-C-C3 =1200ppfd
And pricing is the same for both cobs and strips. And I see now what you mean about the driver matching it's a pain in the but really 😕. Led really has come a long way and I think that buying a ready made fixture would be better then to diy.

Bro, I was running (x12) 590mm 4000K 80 CRI EB3 Slims over 1,000 ppfd.

With (x25) 1190mm strips I could build a luminaire that produces over 4,000 ppfd.

🤣

Those are the specs and what is the ideal spacing for 120⁰ lens angle cobs ?
Sorry for all the questions but would just like to get my head around it all and get it on paper. Before I start with getting parts and stuff, and building.

The B is ~80% of a C, that would mean you could veg a 4x4 with (x4) under-driving. With veg I wouldn’t worry about a lens or a reflector, those 4K’s make too much light and you will find yourself turning them down.

I have 2x 480mm thick radiators from pc watercooling days, so the plan was to make 2 loops. 5 cobs each on a loop and 1 radiator, each loop a peltier cooler and controller plumbed in to cool water. If the thermals ( ambient ) gets too high or I decide to crank up the lights to full power.ill send a price list when I get home in 30mins

One of those loops will cool one (1) COB.

Just one.

FYI
