Chem 3 is just sort of bland and muted. When the #4 was selected as the keeper, it put the #3 on the back burner. The terps on Chem 3 are very earthy, aged hash. It'd make an excellent outdoor plant. I imagine you could stand right next to her and not really know she was there...

Which, in the modern "loud" scene - those terps just aren't going to cut it at the end of the day. Chem 3 is a great plant though. When I ran her, everyone liked her smoke better than others, but got tired of her taste. I ended up smoking a lot of her and she left an impression.

Sort of why, I wanted to grow the Fam95. How many lines out there have Chem 3 in them??!?!

That being said, one of my Mars Hydro SP3000 on/off/dimmer boxes - just quit working yesterday. I've been manually flipping the switch daily for 18/6 while vegging the Fam95. Fortunately, the box that quit working was turned up to 100% and I don't have a lamp stuck on a dimmed setting. Now, I just pull the plug when I need it to cut off.

I did drop Mars a PM - we'll see what they say.

You probably have one of them cheap single socket timers laying around? You can use one of those in the mean time unless of course you're just using that as an excuse to check in daily on the garden:biggrin:

Can't wait to see what the Fam95 brings out for you! :tiphat: :joint:

Thanks, Unc. Problem solved. Guess I'm not quite as bright as the light... :joint:

They seemed way too well built for such a random issue to "just happen". Not sure when I bumped that other switch, but I must have.

It has confused me at times - showing at first what I thought to be female, then male, then female, now pretty much certainly female. Maybe I'm just rusty.

All these plants are going to be flipped in the bed. I've taken clones of everything and feel confident I get what I need to root. If not that is what a reveg is for.I still think I'm sitting at 5 female and 2 male - but it really might be 6 female or even only 3 straight female.

I've seen some odd behavior in the plants - growth quirks and there are a few that seem to pre-sex both ways. This is one of those odd situations where I want every plant to be female...

FAM95 #1

This plant smells like TK infused with Chem. It's very gasoline, earthy, tobacco, chem funk with a faint citrus zest. I expect this plant to produce some fire. It reeks. The plant showed early resin on the first couple leaf sets and has grown in a perfect bush the entire time. It's a TK leaning, Stardawg infused plant. Definitely going to being some chem funk. I really do expect the effects of this plant to be my favorite in the group. Classic east coast stank in this plant.

All these plants are staying super stocky and bushing out quite well on their own. They all have responded fairly well to topping - there won't be a shortage of possible colas.

They all have the same sort of rigidity of Chem 3. Some a bit more lanky, likely due to the OG infusions in this line, but regardless, the plants have a great frame without require much effort to get them that way.

More phenos to come...

FAM95 #2

This plant showed the most resin early on. It was my first pick then I defaulted to the nasty funk of #1. This plant has gotten sweeter and more citrus as it's aged. It grow lankier than #1 and doesn't have as wide of a leaf set. It smells like candied Guava and lemony OG with not much "chem" nose to be found at this point.

The plant smells intoxicating. I expect I'll thin her out more once she grows a bit more and shows more dominant branches. She's going to produce some heady, tasty fire. Based on smells, I expect I'll like the effects of #1 more. Time will tell, but I'm excited to see what sort of flower she produces. I expect it won't be to0 far off from the isolated Guava cut - It's a pretty unmistakable note.

FAM95 #3

The first to clearly show as female. The tallest and perhaps most vigorous, but also most lanky of the group. Has the same citrus notes as present in #2 - without the candy mango - it's more lemon chem funk and mild gas. I expect this is a more Legend OG leaning Stardawg infused plant.

@Blazeoneup - they will be transplanted tomorrow and given a couple days to adjust and then 12/12 will be triggered. Some time this week. You are correct. They are ready to rock n' roll... :joint:

@Get Mo - I guess so. I mean, I read the directions and everything was working fine. I moved some of the cords around and I must have flipped the back switch. Given it was working perfectly for 2 months and one day I just went to turn it off and nothing - default was to think it gave out. Nope. I'm just clumsy.

FAM95 #4

This one, smells pretty much exactly like the Corey Haim cut of Stardawg. The leaves throw very similar patterns. She wants to grow out vs up and tends to shy away from intense lighting. Seems to be a tad more sensitive to over watering or staying too moist, showing yellowing easier than her siblings. Didn't take to being topped as well either. She put focus on side shoots vs tops. Her apical stems are competing for dominance against her lowers.

I'm fairly certain she'll be a slightly more squat version of the Corey cut. Not a bad thing as people around the area loved the effects of that cut - they just weren't crazy about the flower structure. Maybe she'll be denser.

FAM95 #5

This was the plant I originally assumed was a male because it took off much faster than all the others as a seedling. It is without question showing heavily pistil development and is definitely a lady.

This is what I'm saying is basically a 50/50 pheno mash up of all the various parents. It smell almost identical to Chem 3. Smells nuanced by the Corey Haim cut of Stardawg. Smells sort of tropical citrus like #2 - but not nearly as sweet - it's more clear, clean citrus - lemon/orange. It doesn't have that pineapple/mango candy sweetness to it like the #2. She shares some structure commonalities with both #3 and #4 - so, she really is the more middle ground pheno.

I think she'll be a great plant, but won't quite stack up to the siblings - but I could be wrong!

And - an obligatory room shot. These 7 plants are in 5 gallon root pouch fabric planters , folded down to hold 2.5 gallons of media. All are under 1 x Mars Hydro SP3000. I did take 6-8 cuts off each plant and those are all under dome and showing some callouses along the stems. A great sign for not being under domes for quite a week yet. Maybe I'm getting a cloning system worked out after all.

Their world is about to change once I make a make a mount to hang 2 x SP3000. Transplant and flip to flower is coming this week.

I really can't wait too see the flowers these ladies make. Going to be some funky cannabis. #1 I expect to be just straight east coast style knock your dick in the dirt KILL. :joint:

@VerdantGreen - brother, I've not technically trained these plants AT ALL. I've not crimped a stem or folded or tucked under or tied down in bondage...

They've just sort of bushed out like this all on their own.

Chem 3 did the exact same thing. I LOVED that plants structure - always, always formed a nice level canopy across a big wide bush - no help needed.

The Familia cut, had that sort of quality as well, and it seems to have carried over into this hybrid. Slower growing than I expected and not nearly as OG lanky - but that's all a good thing for my setup right now.

Stretch...will be interesting. A bit nervous to flip without giving them more leggy stems. If they don't stretch out much, it'll hurt the numbers potential big time. They are all in the 16-20" range right now. Considering they are over two months old, they've stayed very compact.

Could be the LED keeping them this way, but I really don't think so...

Very nice Frank... they all do have a nice structure... they all seem like the lowers and side branches are competing to be the top bud...!!!...

Seems like you should have a fairly nice even canopy...!!!...

I can’t wait to see these girls in action...

Very nice structure on those ladies! It is nice when plants train themselves!

I have some things going into flower soon also. Even some rare heirloom tomatoes!

Have a great day Frank!

@Nickman - glad to have you following along. I know it's got to driving you nuts!!! LOL.

@Lester Beans - if you look closely at the room shot, you'll notice a couple NON-cannabis plants in there as well. A pepper I need to save seeds from still - and two tomato plants, that are indeed fruiting. One has a mater on it I must let finish or I'll be out of that variety forever. The original vendor no longer has it and can't get in touch with her original source. (To be fair, she has a reputation for making things up and renaming others fruits - or rather, going to a farmers' market, liking a tomato she buys and then fabricating some elaborate story about it's origins.) I am the last person she knows with it and I'm not entirely sure she has any clue what it really is - so it's on me to keep the line alive. Sort of cool to watch tomatoes maturing indoors next to the cannabis plants.

It also happens to work out nicely that I won't have a full room with these plants. Might be one or two spaces empty this flowering round - which works, considering I really can't dig out the tomato in the corner, considering.

The tomato is special. It doesn't produce any lycopene - so the fruit is white. However, it's not low acid. It has the classic flavor of a tomato, only it's nuanced by more subtle notes, akin to an under ripe pineapple, actually. I'll be very glad to have a secure seed stock of it in the vault.

That's weird.

Had a pretty good run with my tomatoes this year. Ended up with 6 gallons of sauce in the freezer and still ate tomatoes damn near every day.

I've started remodelling my grow room as well. I'm going to be growing tomatoes and herbs and other veggies indoors as well as 2 tents worth of cannabis. I'm going to try and grow the tomatoes so I can have them year round. I know they can live up to 8 years if cared for reasonably well. Should be a fun side project.

I've been thinking of that but I would need to get the proper varieties. Lol the roma variants I grew this year would take over my bedroom with one plant. I just pulled the last one up this morning the cold was making them gross. It was in a 5 gal fabric pot and had grown 6ft in three directions and 10ft in another.

Now that I have a few tents and spaces I can branch out and grow different things. Now I have catnip, lettuce and Kratom growing also.
