I will also check runoff next watering as I havent since I flipped now at 4 weeks. I imagine its gone up as I only runoff once or twice a week. Again, plants look fine and I feel like the last few days they started to really fatten up but its still early. This week was with the added MPK probably feed a couple more days with that. I still feel like they are getting overwatered.

Does the top of your guys coco dry back to light brown or does it stay black? One of these suckers loves to drink I want to fix the dtw so I can feed multitimes a day. They blew up quick the week I was away.

In veg and as they start flowering, it stays damp and dark, as the flowering goes on they dry out more and quicker, so I increase the volume they get.

Can I ask what your range of Ec is in veg? I've been an underfeeder for a long time especially in veg. Hydro is much less forgiving in veg I have found quicker too.

Is the high Ec deal just for LED's or is is also related to just Coco?

Of course my ec in veg is up and down to be honest it goes from 1.2 to 1.6 then i give them on other waterings no feed just plain tap water hand watering till they hit the main systems a lot of work in my eyes not like the automated wilmas just in case of any salt build up in rockwool:D As for the high ec i just take notice of what the plant seems to tell me upon looking at them every day yes i know have to much time on my hands :D. Hope that info helps a little and yes i agree its a bit faster and less forgiving indeed, but worth it in the long run :good:

Burn them how? Any pics?

You can see the leaf burn on the one plant below by a stake in the first photo. The damage was already done by the time I raised the light. The other light is perfect for growing without any leaf burns and the plants love it.. The lights are cheap and inconsistent but I get a lot of weed using them. The next one I get should be better I hope if I'm lucky. Mars😎

Thanks for sharing man

My eyesight sucks. It looks like it's smoking. That's not the burning I expected

Heres a canna related Ec question.

The canna feeding chart lists a and b in one section listed as "coco" together like right now at week 5 bloom it says 20-30 ml/10L. If I start with .5ec tap water adding 15ml A and 15ml B the total Ec is like 1.3ec much lower than canna lists on their "total Ec".

Are you guys feeding 20-30ml of each bottle or total(a+b)? Today I added 30 of each plus the normal sups and got it up to 2.3. I feel the chart is misleading and should have a and b listed seperately just for this very reason, I'm unsure.

Well the dat gum F13 started showing some brown long striping middle of a few top fans. Didnt have an opportunity but going to check runoff first thing.

Seems like a bit of runoff may be necessary when running high Ec. A few tips here and there just showing the slightest. I am betting they medium has built up to much over the past week. That f13 is also a PITA most of the time too. Have issues in veg. Seems to hate feed so this may be a warning on the rest of them.

Looks like this pic from Stiches Infirmary sticky for boron.

happend pretty quick. I suspect the ph of the coco has drifted too low and most likely will see a pretty high runoff. This was just a few days ago.

Always been of the an impression that if you are not getting run off, one need to increase the amount you are feeding them, until you see apx 10% run off.
That is what I have always gone with as a rule of thumb, and it has always served me well.

I just havent been having any signs of issues only near perfect growth until just recently. Should know more tomorrow.

Here is a sweet light combo for veg. stage during Summer. It's much easier to manage the temperatures when it's hot outside. The plants seem to love it and grow like crazy you can all most hear the plants growing. 😎

update

yes runoff was 4.5ec but ph stable at 6.0. Only the f13 is showing issues so I decided to water back at 1.8ec ph 6.1 ran a bunch through and down to 3.0 but going to keep at it with runoff and 1.8 again tomorrow.

Also ppfd reading on some app I found was 1100-1250ppfd. Is there a maximum I should be shooting for and what issues would arise from running at higher amt?

My understanding has always been that without the run off, one will at some point end up with a build up of salts that can be toxic.

I just havent got an easy way to get runoff without a mess in the tent. I've been pulling them out some. Wish they made something for a tent to catch the runoff. I had my hydro buckets connected together and put the fabric pots in on top of upside down tuperware when I was away but came back to a mess. too cheap to buy a 3x3 container.

used every thing from litter boxes to oil change containers to plastic storage containers, not like it has to hold a great amount.

I was gonna grab some corrugated plastic roofing but when I saw the new prices I nearly flipped out. Guess maybe thats the way. That and a section of guttering ought to work out. I have plenty of grom's and barb fittings. thin piece of ply and a couple studs. It would get more air to the bottoms of the pots too which would help keep them warmer and get more air in there.

Are you sure roof sheet is expensive? I was looking last week, and the first I saw was £50 a sheet, but after some poking about I saw it at £20 for a 2x1 polycarb.

Sometimes I make an I beam with ply and plastic sheet it.

Its used to be $7 a piece like 3'x12' now its $25, straight banditry going on at these places.

At the big box place near me it was 28 dollars for an eight foot long sheet that was 28 inches wide.
Sure did like the idea of a piece of plywood at an angle with a sheet of plastic on it.
