It's looking more impressive than ever dirt farmer! I love the idea of the tyres under the structure.

You're doing right not to top the plants, IMO ; I wouldn't have pruned them either ; too heartbreaking to lose the best colas :)

Well I moved the carport up about a foot. Hard to see in this pic but I got about 10" to play with now. If you look in the top corner you can see I just put the foot on the pole and set that on top of my roof. It was a big mistake to plant them this close. I will lose pounds for my mistake.
sl738540.jpg

Been busy BS'ing with this carport thing. As you can see I added the blocks to get more room. I know this is all jerry rigged and looks funny. Next year I will know this strain and be much more ready for it. After all I never expected that if I stood on my roof the plants still would be waist high? Next year I will have 3 of these 10x20 carports going down my back yard at 2 plants per carport I will know this plants and keep them shorter and pruned. It's going to be a solid wall 60 feet long. :)
sl738541.jpg

Here is a shot over by the fence. I moved the potted plants over here under the plastic. I took my little cover down for it was not needed.
sl738543.jpg

Shot of the other side.
sl738545.jpg

And the buds are in high gear now.

What happens if you get strong winds, or even a storm? Couldn't your shelter be blown away if it is just resting on the blocks?

Looking really good anyway.

Truly beasting!

Truly beasting!

Those are some monsters. Mind telling what general region of the country you are in? How much longer can you go? Most of Oregon is getting really close to being over for the season.

I got it tied down to the tires on the bottom. each one of the blocks are about 75lbs plus the tires weight. It would have to be a large strom to lift this off it legs. I can see the roof going long before it comes off the ground.

I also added a roll up vinyl side tonight. I will post that set up in my next update. when a strom comes I will lower this down. The carport poles will keep it from blowing back on the plants. I added this for the carport is so tall rain can angle in on the plants. Not no more though. They are 10 feet long and cost 24$ at Home Depot.

I am in the willamette valley oregon. I been following a few grows to people close to me. My plants are doing about the same as others. I guess I go as long as it takes. I will make my whole backyard a heated green house if I have to. :)

I have two large industrial fans that I will break out if needed.

Too funny, I have lived in various parts of the valley all my life, living outside of Portland now and doing a small indoor medical grow. Best of luck, you are my hero!

I was worried about closing in all the sides for air flow reasons so I added a roll up side on the cover. The cover is jacked up so high that rain can angle in if it is windy. With this set up I am hoping I can roll it down and help keep the rain out and air flow up. The 10 foot ones like this cost $24 at home deppot. The sale smaller ones as well.

Yet another update :) The buds are coming on fast now. These should be pretty fat when they are done. Still have like 4 to 5 weeks left on the potted plants. Here is some pics of the two potted plants.

sl738568.jpg

Here is a shot of the plant by the fence. She is going to have some very large colas. 3 to 4 footers it's looking like. This plant has about 30 large tops. Should be a good yielder.
sl738571.jpg

This is the no name strain, left plant under carport. She is just a fat girl. Growing into my roof now. She is budding good also and doing it fast. I can't even get the whole in the photo. She is also already showing some frost.
sl738572.jpg

This is the tall plant on the right under the cover. Buds are growing mega fast now.
sl738573.jpg

Here is a shot of the back side. it has now filled out pretty nice. way better than I thought it would. The sun travels right over the top of the arborvidas. Next year I will take about 2 feet of the arborvidas so get 100% full sun all day.
sl738575.jpg

Okay back to the potted plant in day time pics. These are looking tasty.
sl738577.jpg

And here is some close up of the tall plant on the right under the cover. These buds are no just forming and already some good resin.

Went out to the garden and my tomato plant was laying on the ground. I still have a few on the plant that are larger. I feed the tomatos only two times. First time was with Fox Farms and them some organic tomato food the 2nd time.
sl738580.jpg

Okay back to the MJ plants. Here is some shots of the two potted plants. The buds are getting fat and have about 3 to 4 weeks left to go. Lots of frost. The look almost a light blue color. That could be the plastic cover and blue sky though. regardless they are looking frosty and real light in color. Getting some pine smell now also. when you walk into the backyard you get a good wif. Not over powering though. Time to line my backyard fence with bags of open cow manure every 5 feet.

Here is a bud shot of the plant by the fence. About waist high.
sl738607.jpg

This plant is cola city. There are about 10 more you cannot see up along the fence. The stalk on this plant is pushing 2 litter soda bottle size.9In next update I will compare the two} This plant should a give a lot of bud. The colas are like 3 feet plus. And there is like 30 of them. That fence you see is an 2 foot lattice fence on top of a 7 foot fence.
sl738611.jpg

this plant is hard to show how fat she really is. It is an easy 10x10 plant. The fan leafes are small finger print style. The colas here will not be as long. But short and bulky.
sl738609.jpg

Here is a side shot of the covered plants. Again just long colas and lots of them. There is even large colas shooting out the side of the plant. These plants here are 12 feet tall and 9 feet wide.
sl738614.jpg

The top branches are filling in slower that the bottom half. They just seen to want to keep growing taller. About 6 inches and the cover has to go up yet again.
sl738617.jpg

Here is a shot about chest high. As you can see the buds are much fatter down here. First time I have seen plants growing like this.
sl738615.jpg

Here is a cloe up of the same plant.
sl738618.jpg

It's killing wondering what these plants wil yield. Anyway enjoy the update

Damn, you know your bad ass when you have to use fans OUTDOORS for transpiration

That has gotta stink up a couple city blocks when its done.

I also have a few duct fans ut the blowing on top of the plants. I will try to show them in my next update. I just like good airflow. This plastic really cuts back on wind. The fan on the stand I use on that big fat plant for she showed the first signs of powderly mildew. Turn the fan on 24/7 and no more signs of it.

The duct/squerrel cage fans really move some sir.

Okay so I checked back in my thread and seen that the potted plants were in flower on 8-16. So that's telling me the potted plants have 4 more weeks until week 8. Do you agree with this by the pics below? The close up is showing mult. pistals.
