looks like a funny closet project :D

the thai x skunk must be interesting - keep us posted on that one.
Yep, actually this Super Thai x Skunk plants is my first female out of like 8 seeds I germed... The male/female ratio on HQ seeds is low, or it's just my package

I will probably pollinate this one, or maybe only 1 branch...This is one of the most sturdiest plants I ever had + clones very easy & fast

omfg Dre nice kickass plants you got there mate ....i mist this thread..glad i made it in time to lurk a bit..
is this a all organic grow or not...that would be a oppertunity for me to extend my know how....

Hey yes, everything that grows in my growing room is 100% organicly grown...Organic potting soil, fish ferts as fertilizer during veg (and 2x per month during bloom), Organic bloom fertilizer based on seaweed & algae, filtered rain water & sticky traps to catch insects is what I use...

small pic update on my outdoor Masterkush, she's in the second week of bloom now and coming along nicely..

:kewlpics: i like to go organic myself just need some more grows under my belt and then should it be more safe to practice on some plants..meanwhile i wil jump on board .....to ask some questions...
how you measure your nutes ...with ec meter or formula calculation?
any comments on how to use/appley wormcastings thee.......?

D

dre86

I measure my nutes by plant looks, and a pH meter... When I water them I keep the pH of the water + fish ferts (acidic) above 6 and my pH value of the rain water is 6.5-7 so the pH from the soil doesn't get changed much.. EC meter I planned on buying but this method works for me so far. I have to note I basically don't use much nutes because I believe that when your plants are looking good they have enough nutes in the soil. I don't like pumping them full of nutes..

Sorry bro but have no experience with worm castings but they are interesting :chin: and I found this info:
Total Nitrogen (N) 0.86%
Water Insoluble Organic Nitrogen 0.86%
Available Phosphoric Acid (P2O3) 0.37%
Soluable Potash (K2O) 0.25%
Calcium (Ca) 2.3%
Iron (Fe) 0.72%

so it's not a strong fertilizer, which means theres very little risk on burning.. Quite interesting :chin:

mine is strong i can say ....
OHW YEA..... i bought myself a ec meter yesterday so i can test :woohoo: :woohoo:
and you just reminded me on that with that wormcastings thingy...so i went to my room coz i made me a thee last week (wanne know why i made this thee lol dont laugh and see http://www.alaskagiant.com/ )
.
i made a thee on the info i got out of the articles and what i had at my place

25 a 30L water
8 overfull cups casting
2 spoons of bacto force (fungi groundimprover)
2 theespoons of enzym
2 spoons plain sugar

i did not heat but
after a week of rotting and stinking lol.....i just put the ec meter in and it read 1450 ppm
NOTE THIS SLURY NEEDS TO BE TESTED BY ME...but you get the picture i think...
maybe if you lose the adds i put in then it should be less ppm

could be useless info but then again...... :joint:
only problem is that i can't use the formula to know the N-P-K % ratio in this formula....

saw the veggies? ......hillarious if i think this could/would work on oudoor plants....

lol, imagine a bud of that size :D
----------------------------------------

This week I'm making everything ready to start the flowering...The room got a cleaning today plus I optimized airflow and I tested my method of smell reducing. Since atm I don't have the money for a carbon scrubber I use this 'ghetto' method instead..Works great so far. My room plus the one next to it smells to jasmine :D
dscn1648xx0.jpg

I have transplanted the big C99 from a 10 liter pot to a 20 liter / 5.2 gallons container because her roots were crawling out of her pot :!:again:!: ......I planned on using 14l for her but I felt this wouldn't be enough for her so I used 20 liters.
This doubles the root space, I give 'em so much space before flowering because I believe the more space for roots, the bigger the fruits.. And this plant's roots grow so fast, it's unbelievable... I recently transplanted her from 7.5l to 10l and now had to transplant again....but yeah this kind of rootspace pays off in the end..
Here's a pic of her after the transplant:
dscn1650ar2.jpg

Here's a pic of her stalk:
dscn1610fq7.jpg

^lower branches pruned so energy goes more to top of plant

The clones have spent 2 days already under the HPS light and have adapted VERY well I must say. They must have a good root system developed already
chin.gif
...They look so similar to their mom when she was young..it's unbelievable :D
Here they are, together with the Haze Special (the taller plants):
dscn1606vr4.jpg

The other plants are also doing fine. It looks like my Blueberry #3 (Blueberry #4 before) is putting out male preflowers
badday.gif
.As I am not 100% sure on this I will just let it flower and keep an eye on it. Same goes for Blueberry #1 which first put out male preflowers, now puts out female preflowers :?

dscn1683nm3.jpg

Man, am I happy I placed these sticky traps....Caught lots of flying bugs with it. It's a good way to prevent pests (together with neem oil) without using any insecticides..bugs are attracted to the yellow color

^all this and even more tried to live in my grow room

Next update in a week or so, peace

beautiful plants dre :canabis:

what medium are you using?
it looks like coir with clay pellets on top.

D

dre86

Hey milo , the medium I'm using is regular potting soil

------------------------------------------------------

Room upgraded. Reflection on all sides + a new bulb (Philips Son-T Agro 430 watts output). This bulb emits 60% light in the red spectrum and 40% in the blue spectrum. This mimics late summer-begin fall. I use this bulb for the first 4 weeks of flowering (on 13/11), then I finish them under my regular 400 watt HPS bulb that mimics fall (12/12).
Blueberry #3, my shortest & most squad plant needed to be removed because it has balls. It's planted outside and will help pollinating my outdoor MasterKush female together with the Super Thai x Skunk male...It will be a threesome thus.

Today the plants have 15/9 lightning shedule, then 14/10 and on Sunday 13/11.

When the first flowers appear in next week somewhere, new pics :joint:

I measured all plants on their first day of flowering:

C99: 58 cm ~ 2 feet
Blueberry #1: 49 cm ~ 1.6 foot
Blueberry #2: 40 cm ~ 1.3 foot
Super Thai x Skunk: 46 cm ~ 1.5 foot

Haze Specials: 20-30 cm ~ 0.7 - 1 foot
They also got their first ferts (1/4th dose). I have to say that the combination of my seaweed/algae based fertilizer with the fish emulsion doesn't really put out a pleasant smell in the room. It smells like something died in there...

I will try to do a weekly update; around 10 updates in total

pics of week 1 come here

Superb set up you have bro and an excellent variety of strains too, so many im interested in......
is the C99 from female seeds? i've tried their grapefruit which is 75% c99 and i love it.......
the skunk x thai has got me paying close attention too, i've got a massive desire to get a mother plant with some heavy thai genetics....
the other that im interested in is the haze special, a friend of mine grew it and found it far too intense a smoke.....would totally confuse him and made him unable to function properly, for that very reason i've asked him to start some so i'll be very interested in seeing what yours produce.
Peace

D

dre86

Truecannablis - Thx! Yeah, I hope I can keep this setup till the end of flowering.. I adjust every few days (lower the light, put plants more efficient, raise plants,... ).

The C99 was my last seed of a 5-pack of female seeds... I successfully cloned her and have 4 clones of that plant in veg :woohoo:. She is very easy to clone and grows fast..
The Super Thai x Skunk is from High Quality seeds and is my first female plant out of 8 seeds :badday: so she is VERY special..I really like how she grows so far and I've read she has a good calyx-to-leaf ratio..I think she'll grow into one nice top-cola! :yoinks:
The KC Brains Haze Special I choose for the same reasons as u. I've read some really good reports about the strain so I gave it a try...Had good experience with KC Brains before and the seeds are really cheap. I have no idea how potent she is but I will find out and I'll make a smoke report for u then if I have females of course because none can be identified yet!
