WOW:yoinks: huge op. Not very happy plants.

It seems some of the plants were wilting, and probably because LEO had already been messing with them. Second, you try taking care of several thousand plants and see if you can make them all happy LOL

I have to say wow, that is huge...

I wish we had grow journals of this caliber on this site!!! f**k me!!! The most sophisticated system I've ever seen hands down!!!

Please help me analyze this and break it down so that we may learn from their mistakes and aspire to bigger and greater things for the greater good of all growers!!!

They're wilting yes guys but IMHO because the green team has been f**kin with them for the last 24-48 hrs before the camera crew showed up. These guys were growing there for over 2 years using 730 lights according to the local news videos and the CS vid found respectively here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeLP6AQkB10 and here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Voro5g5B_ew&feature=related (have a good laugh at the SGT's commentary on this one). Props to them for only one guy who was 61 going down for this and for lasting 2 years!!! You know how much bank they would have made off of this for one crop only?

I was trying to do the math assuming 1lb per light but then I think those are 600W's (thoughts anyone?) so based on 730 600W lights and assuming 2lb's for every 3 600w lights that's still about 480lbs per crop.

Even if he's growing J's he's prolly getting 1800 (even if they aren't perfect) there this time of year wholesale. So 1800X480= 864,000

How much you think he paid for expenses per crop? No electric bills to account for, just trimming (he'd need an army of trimmers of course paying prolly in the realm of 20/hr per person conservatively), nutes, babies (if they aren't cloning their own) and maybe a couple of other things but even he's paying 100K expenses who cares!!!!

$764,000 Free and clear!!! every 2-3 months depending on how he's doing it which looks like SOG perpetual which means 6 crops a year times 2 years = 12 cropsx 764,000 =

$9,168,000!!!

Please help me break down this system. What kind of system do you guys think that is? I noticed the cooltubes and the trellis set-up (if you look close), it looks like 4x4 trays (thoughts?) and 600w lights (anyone?)

What kind of hydro system do u guys think that is? NFT? Ebb and flow? This would be crazy to have!!!

It seems like they were making alot of money but who knows. You also have to figure in the cost to setup. Also labor for trimming, plant maintenance, planting, cloning, cleaning etc adds up. Transportation too. Our last harvest, half the proceeds went to expenses including paying back the bank who funded the setup

Did I miss it but how did the setup get busted? Was it the stealing electricity?

BC Hydro reported them, electricity theft.

I still stand by my initial calculation.

They'll pay back their set-up / construction expenses on the first crop. If not entirely paid off from the first one then by the second one for sure with left over money to spare. That means they had 10 more of pure profit!

In my last calculation I used 100K for expenses on each crop which is extremely high if you think about it. Unless they are buying clones which I can't imagine for a show this big

After the initial set-up how many people do you think it would take to handle the plant maintenance, planting, cloning, cleaningthis if they worked fulltime? It looks like everything was fully automated as far as watering was concerned

Wow, those plants on the whole look pretty shoddy. But who knows how much damage was done before these shots were taken. You hear the people laughing in the BG in some parts of it. Makes me sad...
That's what I call ballin' out.
But weren't they stealing electricity? That is just dumb as rocks.

Stealing Electricity? with a huge pump in the river like that?

Sounds dumb...waiting to get popped, but as one poster said, they probably had that thing payed off years ago!
