I was just wondering of those of you who have ever owned a vaporizer or tried one how does it compare to smoking for you which do you find gets you the most satisfied. many thanks.
I've got a rem pen style with oil attachment. Its awesome for traveling, work, or low effort consumption of shatter. Only the coils are extremely fragile!
I still do plenty of dabs, and smoke lots of bowls
My first one was cheap & useless, then I got a daBuddha (sp?) made by the folks at Silver Surfer. I've used it for 2 or 3 yrs now and love it; much healthier than smoking.
I have both the Arizer extreme Q, and the Arizer solo. I prefer the solo, for ease of use, fast warm up, and portability.
I still smoke once in awhile, but prefer the Vape.
Kinda like blondes or brunettes, everybody has their opinion. I prefer the high from the vape, as it it easier to control the dose (I still freak out from time to time smoking, have since '86. Friggin' noob!)
I find it helps the pain in my back more than smoking, and although I don't believe smoking cannabis to be particularly harmful, vaping should be healthier.
I have several "real world" friends that have tried cheapo knock offs, and gave up on vaping because of it. I can vouch for the Arizers, but have not tried any other brands.
I got both of mine from Ebay, a guy called "The golfmeister". Great service, price, and fast.
I use mine at 410 degrees F, for the Extreme Q, and setting #5 on the solo.
Hope that helps!
volcano user for 5+ yrs
since i enjoy 'up' highs rather than narcotic stones, i much prefer the clean high the vape offers.
i still smoke a spliff before going to sleep, but until then the 'cano rules. (and the first bag just lets you taste all the nuances of a strain... mmmhhh... *drool*)
I quit smoking herb in February (3-5 joints a day)...switched to an Arizer solo...and have no intentions of going back to smoking. I like the portable...quick to heat..aspects of the solo. My lungs thank me every day....love the vapor
i've been rocking some version of the Bud Toaster for 12 years (since before OverGrow died) ... latest version is 3 years old and still vaping. i "caught" asthma about 12 years ago (probably from a toilet seat or something) and can't do smoke anymore. no loss because for me vaping is infinitely better than smoking.
by the way, plans for this version of the design are free and my temp control software (12F683 assembly code) is open source.
my 1st vape was a cheesy magic flight....but it was a entry...my friend has the volcano and that is wehre its at...so many vapes out there each is good in there own ways and price range...

Volcano all day...I love it. Very efficient, sort of pays itself off...99% of the smoke is contained in the bag, so you get all the good stuff. Durable, long lasting, probably one of my favorite products i've ever bought in any sort of category. It's all about how you use it, I have some frat friends who always turn it all the way up and kill me.
It's a slightly different high but I feel like it's cleaner and otherwise my lungs would be shot, I smoke cigarettes as well so the volcano really helps me when I want to take a huge rip but don't want to cough for 15 minutes.
I have a lot of scientific glass, my daily bong is $800+ 4.0/Eric Ross double circ with Alex K. diffuser, but i'd rather use the volcano 9 times out of 10.
tried several, and the volcano beats every single one to be honest... also max is right, i too think volcano lets you taste all the flavours and delievers a much cleaner uppier high compared to smoking the same herb...
