Hmmmmmm...

This post was "edited by a moderator" which is strange.

For the record, my pet theory was wrong; apparently their web host was caught up in the wildfires, couldn't get service back up and the RIU team had to physically hand carry the servers to a new location and rebuild the website both physically and electronically. That's a lot of hard work and dedication for which they have not gotten nearly enough credit.

yes i know, it was most evident during Brexit campaign and even after the referendum. It was pretty extreme. I´m refering to the media here and Rupert Murchochs papers were the front runners. The SUN really is a load of §$%&/

These days they (politics) operate like this: There is no real enemy. Damn what can I do? Oh I know! I´ll just make one up! Bingo!
And if anyone´s against it? Well, we´ll just call them commies or unpatriotic.
That´s basically what´s been happening. Be it about the EU (Brexit) or the EU (Like Trump gain right now), womens issues or little green men which don´t exist.
AND peple are so stupid they even give them tons of money for it.

Everything and everybody is totally ANTI something. It´s unproductive and a waste of time. Finger pointing without the one pointing it being any better than their chosen victim. Slander, lying is IN , decency and intelligence are OUT.

Once again everything is upside down but this time it´s far worse.

As an american i'd have to disagree with that considering a vast majority of our news sources are overwhelming liberal. Its become a tit for tat two party system where people aim to vote for who they deem to be the lesser of two evils. In another 3 years an obnoxious democrat will take office with promises to fix the country only to fuck things up even further. Same old song and dance

Want more proof? Just look at what they did to Jeremy Corbyn! Calling him an antisemite with zero evidence but pushing the message with millions in ad money and blatant influence peddling in order to get the one man who stood a chance of holding the powerful to account.

Kier Starmer is certainly a man who represents the rich and not "Labour" and you don't need a Poli Sci degree to work that one out either!

I will disagree without being disagreeable.

Also, the Liberals are at least as much of the problem as the right wing in America.

We will get no solutions until people recognize that they have less to lose by fighting back by any means necessary than by trying to "work for change from within the system" because of course the system is fully rigged to favor the rich. After all, the rich bought it fair and square, right?

they took the piss a lot but they did that to the tories too, lol, only nastier. But they only called Corbyn an anti semite because he wouldn´t do anything about the antisemitism going on inside his Labour party , right? I´m sure he´s a nice bloke in private, but I don´t think he´d have made a good PM. If he´d stood aside in time, Labour might have done better at the 2019 election...

BUT the papers slated May like no other! Maybe that´s some comfort lol

At least british politicians have a sense of humour and can usually take things with a inch of salt! Look at Trumps reaction when somebody excercises critique. He just hits the roof and tells people to show him respect. But respect is something that needs to be earned first . It does not come from yelling at people and insulting them. But this is what people are like these days - aggressive. :(

Btw they ALL suck up to the rich -that´s party donors in the party pocket -got to keep them sweet, right ?
