I'm really not surprised it's down. Their membership has massively declined in the last couple years. It went from having an average of 200 members to barely 30-40 at a time. Most of their sponsors have left too. HLG, Inkbird, and I think maybe even Spider Farmer and Mars left.
I got the Inkbird reps info before she left, so I can still test their products though. My Big Green Egg fan controller is super cool. I just set it up a few minutes ago, getting it ready for a Prime Rib roast. I've got bunch of their stuff.
They basically screwed themselves. The owner is Canadian so maybes he's upset about becoming the 51st state,

After a 9 month break break from Riu I barely knew anyone lots of the regular posters are gone, then a post of mine got deleted when I asked someone if they'd actually grown anything, a mod decided what context it was meant

It’s some really good people on RIU every site has a different vibe and I like that RIU allowed you to share you experiences with gear honestly and not have to worry about being called out by fanboys protecting a breeders image .. it’s impossible to please everyone and not every strain u come up with will be a hit im allowed to dislike it and share my honest opinion
Another thing I appreciated was the ability to interact with “breeders” from green point to archive to stray fox they pop in or monitor the threads .. icmag used to be like that years ago .. now it’s just a bunch of people who pick a subject or strain and claim to be experts or a bunch of people fighting about things they have nothing to do with (haze thread)
The only active thread mostly is the haze one and it’s just fighting or regurgitation of the same talking points from years past only change is now people are trying to sell u things 10x more people have found a way to enrich themselves

I should add...I like the Riu platform and there's a lot folk's there I consider friends, in general it's good site there's tons of solid information in it but I preferred it with a bit humour and where asking if you've grown anything wasn't considered offensive.
