Check out post #937 in this thread and then give a little more info on the types of plants you are harvesting (size, hydro / dirt).

Peace, :joint:

if you do it correctly, when they dry for the first time until the smaller stems snap, when you put them into ball jars etc, the remaining moisture in the middle will come to the surface and the buds should be about perfect.

do you dry them to the point that there is no more moisture left in the nugs?

i don't hang them anymore. i typically just cut the colas into manageble sizes and place the buds on newspaper and into a cuboard or on the floor out of the way. i blow a fan over them for 1/2 the day. works well. i'm so jaded, i look at a huge beautiful cola and don't think twice about cutting it apart.

back in the early 70s, i was stationed in northern california. i got my first bag of sensimilla. i didn't weigh it but it looked like an oz. it was very sticky and smelled great. 3 days later i thought my roomie was stealing from me because there looked to be awhole lot less reefer than there should have been. it took me awhile to realize that reefer that is that moist just hasn't been dried properly and that's where the bulk went. do you like your reefer that moist? shocking how much our buds shrink after drying...it's a damn shame!

rambling...waked and baked in phx! :)

well for the longest i have been hanging them until the main stem snaps which is usually 3-4 days... by then i have found them to be a bit dry so I decided to use paper bags after a day or so of drying and found some better success before they are jarred.. still not perfect tho.. so i was just wondering what you guys were doing

Those techniques sound fine, mine are still moist after four days, but my main stalk is bigger than a broom handle.

i remove all large water fan leaves remove all large tric covered leaves cut buds down to almost finial size. now i place in large brown paper bag and fold it closed i never put more then half bag. after 2-3 days bottom is dry feeling so i flip the pile after 5 days max i'm doing finial manicure and placing into large open ziploc bags for few more days then i close the bags. i line the brown paper bags for drying on a 2x4 on top side of my closet i open the bags each days for 30 mins to exchange air inside.

my smoke dosent see jars anymore only baggies :joint:

At least this gave me some solace

The question AGAIN -- who was or could be hurt by this grow operation and the product?

This is a good example of government as a predator off its leash and actively on the hunt.

"The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others." - Thomas Jefferson, "Notes on the State of Virginia, 1781-82"

"The best hemp and the best tobacco grow on the same kind of soil." - Thomas Jefferson

and there were many more enlightened comments

Peace, :joint:

sounds like a case of greed to me whats the feds conviction rate oh ya 98% ouch someone does there homework before they start arresting people predators off there leashes sounds more like uncle sam was loosing on his take death and taxes

one thing id like to point out i just noticed this bust happened back in june and why is it just now that were hearing anythig of it the reason people in nevada dont realize marijuana is legal here as long as your a patient is because nothing regarding it is ever on television news back in eugene this woulda hit front page headlines for sure its sickening how the media is here as well lol theyd rather chase rain clouds and hail storms than mention that nasty word marijuana

right on Maj. the paper bag method produces the tightest slow dried nugs than any method I have tryed.

I've only grown kalichakra and hashberry, I really like both,I just use an enriched organic soil and just water.I do give one or two weak feedings of guano tea around week 3 of flower.
