hsbc bank just got popped for knowingly laundering money for mex drug cartels; got a fine for 2billion$ which is equivalent (considering the size of their trillions$ in assets) to a millionaire being fined $2,000. no officer got criminal charges filed!

don't forget eric holder's ( us atty general) involvement in sending guns to mex drug cartels (fast and furious). no investigation/ramifications.

I do try to look for substance in what people like them are trying to say. They may well have valid points, but that pig and bitch councilor are just hate filled propagandists spreading fear and lies while protecting and promoting their own livelihoods, and that just pisses me the hell off. They are both in need of serious education and some kind of dose of reality.

My only hope is that along with mj acceptance will come less fear mongering and bullshit like that. :woohoo: Still, I just hate the idea knowing some people will believe them fucking "authority figures".

The funny thing is that its proven that its harder for kids to get. All there arguments are basically the opposite of what they bitch about... Kids harder to get. Accidents down drunk drivers down snack foods up...

But they seem to need to lie to everyone every damn argument is a joke. if they had a valid one that i can understand...

the kid and edibles thing is touchy but dont be a dumbass if you have kids... i love the propaganda

Somebody will always try and find a way to turn our blessings around in as much so they appear to be a never ending problematic event of extremism.
It is not only a pity of, but a grave shame upon the general public brought about by themselves whenever they choose to view things exactly as they are presented by a corporate controlled media outlet.

"Preach freedom, teach slavery!" seems to have been the secret and unspoken national motto for almost as long as i can remember.
It is a motto that seems to run hand in hand with the corporate press, the government schools, radio and television stations, production companies, and (the list goes on and on...).

K, so here's the dichotomy of thought that just SCREAMS at me.

Characterizing a 12yo as an adult so s/he can be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, while characterizing their brain as that of a child until they're 25. Which is it, exactly? I cannot countenance only that which is convenient.

I know that the no such characterization of the 12yo was made in this article, but we know this is true and happening all over the country. So, are we concerned about their brains, or what?

I was waiting to see if anyone here read about that. Hell of a story, downplayed very well by HSBC and the powers that be.

A teenage girl at Air Academy High School in Colorado Springs was hospitalized after eating a pot brownie a 14-year-old boy gave her.
What I want to know is... WHY would you subject a child to the trauma of hospitalization?

They ate a pot brownie. *shrug* Unless it was baked with concentrated pesticides or something, they'll be fine. People sleep off high doses of cannabis, just like dogs and other animals do.

Actually... HickeyDoofer certified the vote... it went into effect a few days ago. Doesn't matter, liquor store owners started complaining about lower sales appx 2 days after election day. :D

The healing has already begun... LOL

The BBC had a cool doc about mj a year or two ago, went into depth about sea squirts in the ocean that first developed cannabinoid receptors etc. There have been extensive tests that show young rodents exposed to mj do have learning/memory issues for their rest of their lives. Kids should wait til they are like 17-18 at least and then they'll be fine :peacock:

note the wording. hospitalisation means was admitted and released, the word treatment was not used.
Is this one of those areas that sentence people caught to go to drug rehabilitation clinics? Is the woman quoted an employee of one of those clinics? Is she too now afraid their "customer" base will fall rather than rise?

Fear sells, unfortunately, and that's been the basis of anti-pot propaganda all along. It's easy to make people fearful of something they've never experienced.

Obviously, it's important to keep pot out of the reach of small children, simply because they may panic if they ingest the stuff, more likely with edibles or concentrates.

Too bad the guy doesn't issue the same sort of warnings about booze, tobacco, kitchen chemicals & loaded guns, all of which have a much greater chance of harming kids if not properly taken care of...

MMJ was a good transition here in Colorado. Despite all the fear mongering & raving about that. What even the skeptics noticed is that basically nothing changed, that there weren't dope crazed lunatics raping & pillaging, at all... Coupled with the widespread knowledge that anybody & their dog can get a MMJ card, the voters decided that it was time to end the farce... well, most of it, anyway.
