Car Crash Uncovers Alleged Pot-Growing Operation


DENVER --
Two brothers have been busted for allegedly growing marijuana, after a car crashed into their Denver home last Wednesday, revealing the operation.

More than seventeen pounds of marijuana (nearly 100 plants) and growing equipment were confiscated from the home of 60-year-old Eduardo and 53-year-old Miguel Vigil after an unrelated driver lost control on the icy road and crashed into the front of their house, according to police..

The Vigil brothers are charged with cultivation of and possession with the intent to distribute marijuana. Both were released on bond and are scheduled to appear in court January 26th.

most proffessional commercial growers average 3oz's+ per plant (i've seen a few that get much more than this...)

so... 100x3oz=300oz/16oz=18.75lbs

In America's fucked up legal system, I wouldn't be surprised to see these two bring suit against the driver and actually win.
Burglars have injured themselves in the course of robbing a house (fallen down the stairs, through the rough, cut themselves with a kitchen knife, etc) and actually won in court. I'm not saying it's right but it could very well happen if the two get themselves a "good" lawyer.

the only thing close to this in the uk is 2 brothers went to rob an old farmers house and he shot one of them in the back with a shot gun and killed him. the brother got abit of money from the farmer through court. but it didnt bring back his bro...and the farmer didnt get much time in prison either.

i remember a story where a guy did cut himself with a knife as he was robbing the house and was sueing the people that live there
