Delicatessen Seeds experiences

This is the first of 3 Lilly seed moms coming down around day 56. This one is my favorite so far, but they are all interesting, with one being somewhat different structurally and flowering time wise. The clones of the seed moms are well into flower and looks to be a good run. The 3 seed girls are the loudest thing you smell when you open the tent.

Now that OD is back to making seeds for the masses, I felt confident digging into my Lilly stash. I have 3 girls that are a few weeks into flower.

I wanted to ask others who have tried Lilly, is it comparable to any of the modern trendy strains that boast of amazing smells and tastes?
And by comparable I mean is it as legendary (or more so) as the popular smells and tastes?

Here in Spain the "pheno" Lilly "piña colada" is famous for its spectacular flavour to ananas...

Nice work Outcold I have grown Lilly 3 or 4 times and love the smell and flavor of this plant . The high is up and euphoric . I also have grown Upstream that is a little more indica but the Lilly flavor carries over in it.

Smell and taste are quite exotic for cannabis. No real indication that it's weed. That has been replaced with a sweet tropical flower-like sensation that is over the top loud in both taste and smell.
I think the high is powerful, friendly and all in the head/shoulders.

I'll post more pics as these clones finish up over the next month.
But you should really consider dropping both seeds in the water to see if one is head and shoulders different.
I popped 3 and two are the expected excellent Lilly, but the 3rd is looking different and taking longer to finish.

Hard to say, in contrast i have another plant with thinner leaves but with similar flowering pattern. Similar smells, similar bushy structure and flower clusters, will post more pics soon.
Can't wait to sample them.
Btw the seeds were bought via Ace.

Cheers

That looks very similar to how mine finished up, structure and shape-wise, on all the ones I popped (besides the krinkle pheno one). The leaf width varied a bit, but the structure, smell, and high were all very similar. This is rumored to be the Mexican side of Sensi's "Mexican Sativa," so Oaxacan? Maybe the dwarf Oaxacan of the old cannabis castle days someone posted a pic of recently? The Mexicans came to the Dutch scene from Rob Clarke as well back then I think, so it's possible.

They definitely look hashplant-ish to my eyes, but I'd still love to dig through the pool further for candidates to outcross.

It's similar to mine that I grew up last year ... It is quite possible that (perhaps unintentionally) some genetics ended up in there ....
The leaves eventually become more nld but for the most part they are hybrid ....
PS I don't think they are related to sensiseeds mex...

Ok so I grew those seeds I bought. I wasn't sure I was going to say anything about them because these things often turn into a shitshow. But I feel people should know before spending their money.

I grew 2 Reina madre and 2 Lilly indoors. 1-2 weeks after flipping to 12/12 I had to cull both Reina madre because they were full on hermies. As soon as they sexed there was half female and half male preflowers. No bananas. Full on male flowers.

The 2 Lilly are still alive. Finishing if you want to use that word. I found they are extremely finicky. They have been looking sad and angry the whole duration of the grow. Even though I use only biobizz and biocanna in moderation they were showing serious stress symptoms. Also one of them has a noticeable pineapple scent, but I honestly can't say it is pleasant in any way. There are undertones in the smell that literally remind me of vomit. You can laugh if you want it's ok. Very unpleasant. One of them looks like it will finish in 60 days, the other one looks like it will take over 12 weeks. We are 55 days in and it looks like it's on its third week of flower. Once the other strains finish this one will go into the trash.

All the other strains in the room were thriving. Nepal Jam fem, Critical Bilbo clone, Maple Leaf Indica selected clone, Tikal fem. All are finishing well, in good health.

One good thing I can say about the Lillys is they seem very resistant to spidermites. There was a spidermite problem starting around week 5 of flower, the spidermites really thrived on the Dutch plants and a little bit on the others, zero on the Lillys. I had to harvest the Bilbo, MLI and NJ at 54 days because the infestation was about to get to the buds, and since then it seems like they vanished. Maybe they think the smell is foul as I do.

This is not to bash anyone, but I think people who are on the fence about growing these strains should read all experiences, because one can easily get carried away by the hype in the forums.

Maybe it is this last batch of seeds, or maybe I was unlucky, maybe they are bred to grow outdoors, or maybe I suck at growing.

I got Lily, Reina Madre, and Upstream from the breeder himself. I recently harvested Lily and it was phenomenal as it was the loudest plant which reeked pina colada (so delicious that I wanted to eat the damn flowers), finished at week 8 sharp (week 7 would have worked too) which was incredible for a sativa, and had great cerebral effect with some body relaxation. She grew a bit finicky but worth trouble. If you leave her in a solo cup / root bound, she will autoflower which I would expect from sativa plants. Anyway, the cured bud is so yummy with the pina colada taste and flavor and she's one my favourites out of that grow cycle with several other high quality stuff from Bodhi and Breeder Steve's.

So, I think you had not so good lucks. I would highly recommend you try again and maybe buy the seeds directly from the breeder? A few pages back, I posted some info on how to get them directly from the breeder.

I'm glad your plants turned out great. As for me, 2/4 seeds that fully hermied is a deal breaker for life. I wouldn't grow them even if I was paid to do it. As for the seeds not being the original ones, as I said I got them from CBG which is the most respected seedbank here in Spain, and I had to wait a month to get them, that's how fresh they were. As for the how to get seeds from the original breeder, I already read your post and already said I wasn't ordering seeds from a Hotmail account. I am just here to warn people of my experience, not to insult your plants. Definitely not looking to hurt anyone's feelings here. If you like them that's great, I hope you enjoy them very much.
