Will a 25 pint dehumidifier be enough to lower the RH from 65-75% to 40-50% in a 5x5 sealed room? I only plan to run it during lights off, if that makes a difference
It might run constantly, and if not set to drain will fill up in less than 12 hrs and stop working.I have a 6x8 room semi sealed 2 K air cooled lights A/C to cool room propane burner for co2 .A 45 pint ran constantly I just upgraded to a LG 65 pint
Bigger unit like a 45 pint one will run less and you will be glad you have the bigger one in late flower
Agree with badugi... get bigger. Will consume 400w +/-, so be aware of that too. NT temp rising should only help... long shot but you may also get added benefit of temp "dif's" to combat stretching. Tried running 3 dehum @ 1 point to combat within a CAE... in the end, venting for 2 hours @ lights off & periodically during DT was exponentially easier & cheaper. Add another dedicated Can Filter & fan to a dedicated exhaust opening- run this on a timer. IMO you are absolutely justified in being concerned with rh@65-75%, especially if this is measured during DT- will jump 5-15% within first hour of NT within a CAE. Best.
Thanks for the input guys, think I'm gonna go with a 50 pint unit most likley. How much heat do these things usually give off? I'm hopin it raises the temps at night around 5-10 degrees, my room sits at 55-65 degrees with lights off so it would be perfect
