High all :)

Thanx for your comments.
I'll try to do some seeds as every year. But only Jah knows what gennetics I'll be able to do...

Sooo... yesterday I've put almost 40 popped seeds in their new home - wild forest. It's first time for me to put the sprouted seeds directly to the ground. I used to prepare seedlings for years but this year my plants will spend their ALL LIVE outdoor.

Hmmm... I'm curious what ratio plants/germed seeds I'll get.
I hope for minimum 50%.
How do you think outdoor brothas?

Next week I'll prepare second run of seeds and will fill with them the gaps between plants.

I always put the seeds directly into the soil, with great results.
Then you get the strongest selection by nature.
I put some plastic folie over them the first week for keep them moist.
After 1 week take the folie away, and add some snail poisson.
Good luck with your 2012 od grow.

peace,pietje puck

Morning!
Thanx for kind words green broters

Yesterday I've bought peat jiffys for next run.
I plan to make little seedlings (really little ones, but seedlings). I'm still not sure if putting sprouted seeds straight to the ground will give me back enough plant and that's the reason.

I've also drop into the water 3 seeds yesterday. I need some heavy indica herb in my stash so I've started:

Triple Afghan Slam (black ph.)
ErdPurT
HTC DC x E-Rocket/DanishPassion

Here is few pictures of HTCDCxERoc/DP from my 2009 guerilla:

More seeds will start next days...

I have started my seeds directly in soil. Used to do this that way: 24h soak in water, then go out to ground under plastic foil layed on the ground, covered with soil and sticks. Temperature: 50F min. in night but they stay alive even after frosty nights. I consider to use jiffys, and used many times, but these days I think its money lose. Better to buy some big bag of pure peat or other medium+cups and use it wisely.:plant grow:

Nice frosty buds.:tiphat:

Hello friends
Today I've been in the forest to plant 8 very little seedlings on spot #3 and to see results of outdoors germination process on spot #2.
Good news and bad news. C'est la vie...

Spot #2 are two soil beds. I have 5 CongoleseDoubleGold (from 5 beans) and 2 MMGGxBHPT x StinkyPinky (from 5 beans) in one one them and no one of Early Gold (from 6 beans) nor Carpatian (from 3 seeds). I don't know why the ratio is so different. The beds are almost the same big and with similar soil inside...
I'll put in empty places some new genetics I think...

I've planted today 3 x Gloria, 2 x HLRDTxHP2, 1x Teheran Devil cross and 2x OG18SkunkxDanishGold in 2 beds on spot #3

And here are newborns pics:

hey zielonylasss,
i like your big spot and the fact that you were able to use it so many times in a row. the soil should be great!!
could you please elaborate on the shovel a bit? i hate the fact that my huge shovel doesnt fit in my (also huge) backpack. i used a modified shovel (just cut the handle in half) but it was quite painfull (for the back) to dig holes with that shortened one. i am quite tall... would u recommend that shovel? is it possible to fold it (also another weak point of some of those shovels i imagine) or is it steady like this?
- thanks in advance.

shame about the 6 first gold seeds not germinating :(

i got a similar erocket x dp x dc plant ( ithink you got "rocket chunk" and i got "rocket chunk 2" by esbe, but i am not 100% sure on that one...) and i am looking forward to seeing some nice coloured leafes full of chrystals. :dance013:

weather has been shit here for the whole weekend. about 30L rain per square meter in just 1,5 half days..

happy growing, i am in to watch and learn for sure

About the weather...
Here is 20-30*C for over 10 days and 3 times it was raining. Great time for all environment, specially for plants and for my Mary Jane!

About the shovel...
It is really shellproof, like a tank. It is quite light (1,3 kg) and it's 83 cm long. I'm over 190 cm and dig with it like boar without any pain :D I think I found an ideal one for my job in wilderness.

Thanx for stopping by!

Great news Zielonylasss. I'am glad that some of my cross is growing succesfully in your beautiful garden :woohoo:. You have mentioned germination rates above. I must say that I'am expieriencing this a lot lately. Some of the seeds although soaked in water for 3 days never cracked :/ I think for me the best method is to keep seeds in water for several days. That way I can easily avoid empty pots and disapointment as well as soil and space waste.
The best ratio I had from my own seeds. Thats obvoius cause i selected only the best fully matured ones and they were very fresh. Worst case I had 20% didnt show root at all. Well that the thing mother nature is well known of. That's just unpredictability. Thats why we love Guerilla Growing the most.

As for the wheather Zlasss its really sweet :D 29*C for couple of days and now nice mild and rainy with some foggy dawns and sunsets. Really nice start of the season.

CDG was planted to days ago and they were all open when I put them to cups. So in two days time I expect to see them over the ground level.

Well just dropping by to thank you and wish good luck with your spots.

Peace kaczy

I'm really happy for you. Those are some great conditions for sprouting. Oh yeah. Shovel is very important. But it needs to fit in my backpack so its stealthy. :)

Good luck with the season.

Anyway you can put down a insect barrier to protect them baby's. There very fragile right now. If any insect finds them they will make a good meal.. It does not need to be real close to them maybe a 3' circle around them..
